Damayan at Tiyaga Foundation with Ms Kate & Friends

After wrapping up the medical mission with the TV-5 AlagangKapatid team, we then rushed to Champagnant St., in Rancho 1, Marikina to be with Ms Kate and her friendsat the Damayan at Tiyaga Foundation. Ms Kate wanted to treat the kids there toa fun- filled afternoon- a party complete with scrumptious food, colorfulballoons, and exciting loot bags, and these all proved to make the childrenecstatic and delighted beyond words.
We were not one to be stingy with surprises, so we added our own pop corn and cotton candies to the list—and wesure did make the kids’ day as early as at this point. But we did not stopthere of course, after all these were given to them, we started with the the games, and then our good friend Ms Kate shared some heart-warming moments with thekids, taking pictures and letting them feel the warmth of her friendship. Whenthey thought it could not get any better, our beloved Chummy Chum had got outand danced with them, making smiles brighter and making them exclaim theirpleasure with ‘Wow, bongga!’=) It was of course another great and worthwhileday, and we hope we don’t run out of friends like Ms Kate, who always have abig, welcoming, and kind heart for all these kids. Thanks again Ms Kate! =)
