"You will find, as you look back on your life, that the moments that stand out are the moments when you have done things for others." - Henry Drummond
It was a rainy morning on July 30th 2011, but undeterred our team always was, we headed to the Hospicio de San Jose through their invitation for us to sponsor the program called “Culminating”. Two hundred participants were with us to take part in the program—kids who were unfortunately left there by their families, people who were physically challenged, kids afflicted with autism, and grandparents and elderly left to fend for themselves. When we got to the Ayala Bridge Manila, the auditorium was all set up, and we saw that they prepared load of gifts for the participants. We started setting up our booth then, the kids started pouring into the venue with smiles and eyes as warm and wide as the skies in summer, all excited to see what surprises were in store for them that day. They just got back from a mass at a nearby building in the compound, and their growing excitement palpable in the air. The activities in the program then started, with the kids singing songs and showing off their talents, culminating to their singing a birthday song to their Superior. Chummy Chum of course was keen on taking center stage, showing off his own dance moves to the kids’ delight. We ended the festivities with giving everybody the snacks and present we prepared, and we know from their smiles and thank-yous that it would be a day they would never forget. =) We want to thank Ms. Alice Jorolan for her generosity and big-heartedness, thank you for supporting our cause. =)
Thanks to Mr. Tito and team, and to Ms Adelina Diaz for helping us that day.
