Chummy Chum joins Red Cross- Mandaluyong Feeding Program at Addition Hills

Chummy Chum received an invitation from Red Cross Mandaluyong Chapter to sponsor their 1st Feeding Program at Brgy. Addition Hills, Welfareville, Mandaluyong City. When we arrived, the place was very crowded. Lots of informal settlers were there, forming what seemed to be crooked lines and were blocking our van’s way, that we thought we will never make it to the venue. The organizers of the program were very thankful for CCF’s presence.
They started the games and we gave away prizes courtesy of Chummy Chum. Another group from La Salle fed the kids with rice and tinolang manok. We also gave away popcorns, cotton candies, balloons, coloring materials, toys and other Chummy Chum freebies. The appearance of Chummy Chum made the day of the children present.

Children with Cancer Received a nice treat from Ms. Alice

Chummy Chum lead Ms. Alice Jorolan at the National Children’s Hospital – Cancer Ward, located at E. Rodriguez, Quezon City. Ms. Alice holds outreach programs every year, and this time, she chose to share her blessings to the cancer kids of NCH. Ms. Alice and followed the Chummy Chum van to the place and when we arrived, CCF and Ms. Alice’s group immediately set up. While we cook the popcorn, Ms. Alice personally cooked the spaghetti. Chummy Chum entertained the sick kids at the cancer ward.
Every time we visit the place with our sponsors, we see new faces each time. Some of them had a swift recovery and ordered to go home and some were not so lucky. CCF are happy to see that even for just a moment, we make these children smile again even if it is for the last time.

Chummy Chum Graces Divine Mercy – Taytay Chapter’s Feeding Program at Lupang Arenda

Chummy Chum brought smiles to the indigent children of Lupang Arenda, Taytay Rizal. The Chummy Chum van was cruising along the C6 road and we enjoyed the view of the sea with lots of hyacinth. Just right after a row of shanties from the roadside, we stopped and head on to a small barangay’s covered court. When we arrived, there were just a few kids who were waiting for us but when we started to set up, the small number of children became bigger until it reached 300. It was amazing how that amount of kids fit in the venue.
Chummy Chum started to entertain the kids and they were all very eager to participate. The Divine Mercy group arrived and they had a little lecture about Mama Mary and afterwards, Chummy Chum came out to dance with the children. Everyone present danced with Chummy Chum and they all went home with big smiles on their faces. Another mission accomplished!

Chummy Chum Visits Ospital ng Sampaloc

Chummy Chum paid a visit at Ospital ng Sampaloc, one of CMSEP Division Incubator beneficiaries. Everytime we visit this public hospital, numerous indigent kids who are sick are lining up at their OPD’s children’s ward. Even if a poor patient is not from Manila, he/she can still avail of the free health service of the hospital.
That is one reason why CCF chose to support these kinds of hospitals and provide them with brand new incubators inclusive of maintenance and repair (including parts), all for free, because we see that their program is really to help the indigent children. We would like to thank ESTA family from goodwill2 for the added refreshments.

Chummy Chum graces Divine Mercy Feeding Program.

After the morning event, CCF together with the UP volunteers, headed straight to Barangay San Juan, Taytay Rizal in the afternoon to grace the invitation of Divine Mercy Feeding Program.
When we arrived, the children were almost there as well as the Divine Mercy Group. We started setting our booth while the ladies started the program by sharing a gospel about Mama Mary. The students from Sun Valley College requested to join and participate with our outreach program, so they came up with games and prepared the gifts for the kids. When Chummy Chum came out, all the children erupted in cheers and joined the cuddly mascot in dancing “chacha dabarkads”.
The kids enjoyed the program complete with bubble show, games, “paagaw” of candies and toys. The ladies of Divine Mercy were very grateful to CCF for the help we have extended to them. Big thanks also to the students of Sun Valley College for volunteering that day.

Chummy Chum with UP Volunteers at Reception and Study Center for Children

CCF went to the Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC) located at Quezon City, with volunteers from the University of the Philippines (UP). This is the first time for CCF to come to RSCC and we think the ambiance is really good for the abandoned and abused kids due to its spacious area (almost 1 ha.)  The UP students arrived as we were setting up the booths, and they prepared the program for the children.
Since it was a first time for us, we felt a little disappointed knowing that we were left  to tend to our needs by the group who invited us. But nevertheless, what’s important is the happiness that we give to the kids.

Instead of throwing a party for friends, Ms. Welly’s son chose to celebrate his day with those who are in need, thus they chose Hospicio de San Jose.
Little kids and even adults from said institution were all invited to the party. There were clowns and bubble show as well as Chummy Chum dancing which made the children overflow with happiness. It was indeed a memorable birthday celebration for the family of Ms. Welly. Thank you for your donation for our next hospital visit.
