Chummy Chum once again joined SM Foundation’s Medical Mission held this time at SM Muntinlupa located at Putatan, Muntinlupa City.
The day prior to the actual event of giving free medicine, SM Foundation coordinated with DSWD-Muntinlupa to select the poorest of the poor that will be given free medical checkups and provided each of the family with stubs for next day’s event.
People lined up early, waiting for the event to take place. While the organizers and volunteer doctors were setting up, Chummy Chum team also did their set up in preparation for the event.
The children present at the event were drawn to the colorful balloons that we brought, as well as our booth complete with popcorn stand. When their checkups were done, the children received Chummy Chum freebies.

Mr. & Ms. Sison: Two People with a Heart of Gold

We were with Mr. & Mrs. Sison when they donated an incubator unit to Ospital ng Tondo. The said hospital were also given 10 nebulizers and first aid kits coming from abroad as well as cash. Each year, the generous couple invites Chummy Chum Foundation to help them spread joy, blessings and cheer to the kids of National Children’s Hospital located at E. Rodriguez St., Quezon City. The Sisons are committed to the mission of doing works of charity and altruism, and wants to share the rewarding act of giving to sick kids in the said hospital, something to smile about, even just for a day.
These cancer patient kids, albeit in pain, are not stingy with their smiles of gratitude for the gifts accorded to them, courtesy of the donations from the Sisons. Hesitant not to go to great lengths to give these children an unforgettable day, we practically threw a party for them, with us preparing the food and presents as early as three days prior to the event. We were ecstatic to see the joy in these children’s faces, especially when Chummy Chum joined them in the games and danced for them.
Truly, nothing gives us great happiness and affirmation that we are headed on the right track, than to see the glow in the eyes of these children.
In photos are Chummy Chum with Mr. Sison. Big thanks to all the volunteers for giving us a hand.

Seacom Feast with Dumandan Family Treat 2013

Every year, Dumandan family always see to it that they set aside some money for their yearly treat to the poor kids in their community located at Seacom Compound. They make it a joint celebration of their 2 sons’ birthday. But the party does not focus on their children but to the kids belonging to the poorest of the poor. Each year they conduct a feeding program.
This year is extra special because Chummy Chum is with them to give the poor kids of Seacom a grand time.

Chummy Chum Joins SM Foundation’s Medical Mission at SM DasmariƱas

As part of CCF’s tie-up with SM Foundation, the group went to SM DasmariƱas for another Medical Mission. We got to the venue very early to set-up along with the organizers of SM Foundation and SM Management. People with stubs came along in droves.
The medical mission started on a slow place because doctors came in late. Most of those who went there early were senior citizens. What is considered as most notable is that SM Foundation provides complete medicine good for one (1) week.
CCF sees that the medical mission that SM Foundation conducts is a big help especially to the poor. And CCF works hand in hand with them to provide cheer to poor children. More power to SM Foundation.

Chummy Chum goes to Missionaries of Charity (Home of Joy)

CCF received a request from Ms. Agnes to help her plan for a charity event at Missionaries of Charity located at Tayuman, Manila. This center caters to neglected and abandoned sick kids with cerebral and bone defects. All of us, including the nuns and volunteers, believe that all the children deserved to be loved and taken cared for. But some just gave up because in taking care of the sick children because they can’t take it anymore. Some just bring these kids to centers and let others take care of them and some are abandoned forever. CCF is also aware that there are some cases that kids just die without finding cure to their diseases. Ms. Agnes adopted one kid that she always helps and takes care of. She usually visits after office hours. The center has monthly celebrations for birthdays, and this time, with Chummy Chum.

Chummy Chum ties us with SM Foundation for Medical Mission

CCF received an email several days ago from a lady doctor who was very curious when she saw our Chummy Chum van cruising along a busy road. She got hold of our website and there she saw what our mission is all about.
The lady doctor got very interested and immediately set up a meeting with CCF at our office and personally met the CCF President. She expressed her admiration to our president’s dedication and the unconditional help that he gives to the poor Filipino children inspite of him being a foreigner.
That kind lady doctor turns out to be connected with the SM Foundation.
The first charity tie-up between CCF and SM Foundation was held at the event center of SM City in Baliuag, Bulacan. CCF now realized why SM continues to be blessed. It is because of their unwavering support and giving unconditional care to the less fortunate. Their mission of providing help to less fortunate started in 2001 at all SM provincial branches and is continuously being done.
CCF help give cheers to almost 1,000 poor kids as Chummy Chum provided entertainment and freebies apart from the medicines they received during the free medical check up.

Chummy Chum brings happiness to kids at San Pablo Apostol’s DVBS Graduation

While people enjoy the non-working holiday as the nation celebrates Labor Day, here at Chummy Chum it is work as usual as we accepted the invitation by a group from San Pablo Apostol Church located at Tondo, Manila.
Almost 300 kids were waiting for us when we arrived at the venue. These kids are part of the youth graduating from their DVBS, a Christian movement that has a yearly mission to encourage the youth to be close to God by studying the bible. The group’s aim is to improve the lives of these children through God’s teachings.
It is their first time to meet Chummy Chum which made all the participants excited. The children all enjoyed the entertainment and freebies that we had in store for them.
Thank you to Ms. Ruth for providing additional refreshments and to Ms. Carissa and company for helping us.
