Chummy Chum at St. Louis Handmaid of the Lord El Dorado Community

CCF joined Mr. Tony of Aral Pinoy to bring smile to the children of El Dorado Community in Paranaque City. The event was held at St. Louis Handmaid of the Lord Convent. Every Saturday, the Handmaid of the Lord group conducts activities for poor kids in their community, by teaching catechism and values formation.
This time they invited Chummy Chum Foundation and Aral Pinoy for a special outreach program. CCF staff cooked almost 200 popcorns for the children and Kuya Mac-Mac lead the games and gave away lots of prizes courtesy of Chummy Chum. The children became more excited when Chummy Chum came out to dance with them.
The nuns and kids present at the event profusely thanked us for giving them a special treat and bring smiles on their faces.

Chummy Chum at SM Valenzuela Medical-Dental Mission

CCF staff left the office very early, especially if the outreach venue is pretty far as we wanted to arrive ahead of everyone else so we could set up and prepare for the children. And this time, we were also early to arrive for the SM Valenzuela Medical Mission.
During the registration, the people, especially children who went there for free medical checkups, had their attention on us, as we were cooking popcorn as the delicious smell of popcorn wafted through the air.
The kids were pleasantly surprised to receive freebies from Chummy Chum because all along they thought they were only there for the check up and medicine.

Chummy Chum Celebrates with Ms. Francine at Birthday for a Cause

Ms. Francine wanted to celebrate her special day with the needy children and with the help of a colleague, she was referred to CCF and in turn, we helped her find a beneficiary – cancer patients of National Children’s Hospital located at E. Rodriguez, Quezon City.
We saw new faces after just a week of not visiting them. Some cancer kid patients opted for home medication, some transferred to another hospitals while the not so lucky ones passed away.
Our hearts have a soft spot for these cancer kid patients because we wanted to make them happy, even for a little while, and let them celebrate life while they are still here.
The children enjoyed every minute of the party, complete with bubble shows, magicians, mascots, popcorn & cotton candy, snacks and freebies.

They immediately formed a beeline and were very excited to receive their loots. Big thanks to Ms. Candy for the cupcakes and juice, and thank you to Mary Jane and friends for helping us out.

That Saturday afternoon, Chummy Chum joined them to bring smile to the kids’ faces and share our blessings with them. Although it was raining, the weather did not stop the event from happening. Every floor of the municipal building has various activities.
Bantay Bata 163 Foundation was giving out gifts at the 1st and 2nd floor, while Chummy Chum distributed freebies and entertained the kids with magic shows, entertainment and games at the 3rd floor. Almost 200 less fortunate children in the community were there to enjoy the treat prepared for them by Red Cross and CCF. Aside from the said activity, they also conducted a seminar to parents on how to put up a small-scale business. The group expressed their admiration to CCF because we are always first in the venue, aside from this we are rendering all our services for free, just for the sake of making less-fortunate Filipino children happy.

Chummy Chum with Ms. Candy at the Hema Ward of NCH

Chummy Chum accompanied Ms. Candy to visit the Cancer kid patients at the National Children’s Hospital located at E. Rodriguez, Quezon City.
As we were approaching the venue, we did not know how to feel as we face another batch of cancer victims which were different from those we visited just last week. Some of them survived but there were those that unfortunately did not.
This batch is particularly younger and, according to some parents that we talked to, have never experienced a party. It was touching to see the kids’ smiles during the event, despite the pain that they feel due to chemo sessions, etc. Games, prizes and other freebies flowed freely along with food from a popular food chain. Chummy Chum regaled the crowd with a dance number and by giving away freebies and popcorn snacks.
Chummy Chum ardently prays that these kids will survive the cancer fight. Big thanks to Ms. Candy for her cupcakes and drinks donations.

Chummy Chum with SM Foundation at Nasugbu Medical Mission

Chummy Chum all the way to Brgy. Papaya, Nasugbu Batangas, for another Medical / Dental Mission in partnership with SM Foundation.
We experienced a pleasant ambiance on the said place, near Piko DelMar. Network signals were completely off but we did not have a hard time reaching the place. All we did was asked people along the way, for directions.
We reached the venue (Brgy Papaya is situated at the foot of the mountain with a nearby beach.) and saw a considerable number of people who went there to have their free medical checkups.
The amount of people increased when they heard that we will be giving away freebies. The line to the CCF booth became longer as we handed children free popcorns and Chummy Chum freebies. They also availed for free vitamins. All in all, it was a fulfilling day as we reached out to people even in remote places such as these.
