Chummy Chum Graces Child Haus’ 10th anniversary Celebration

Chummy Chum attended the 10th year anniversary of Child Haus. When the CCF team arrived, the program’s organizers welcomed us with a round of applause because they thought that CCF will not make it.

Child Haus, is celebrating their 10th year anniversary and is still going strong because of the help of their generous donors and supporters.

After the long program they prepared for the children, several ABS-CBN artists also came to sing and dance for the kids. Some prominent guest was also there to grace the event.

CCF team was very grateful and proud when they gave us a certificate of appreciation for all those years that CCF has been supportive of Child Haus’ programs.

Chummy Chum with Ms. KC at her ‘Birthday for a Cause’

Chummy Chum granted the wish of Ms. KC, one of CCF volunteers, to be with her mission in bringing smiles to poor children from her community.
Chummy Chum first met KC in one of our gift-giving activities in Cavite. She brought something for special kids when we visited a year ago. And on her 27th birthday she invited us in an orphanage in Tagaytay to celebrate her special day with orphans.
This year, she celebrated her birthday with her poor community neighbors. KC is not rich but even in that situation she possesses a heart of gold that bring smiles to kids who need them the most.

Chummy Chum Graces Philippine Cerebral Palsy’s Halloween Party

Chummy Chum sponsored the snacks of Phil. Cerebral Palsy kids on their Halloween party. The kids wore their best Halloween costumes and it is really heartening to see that despite their situation, their loved ones treat them as normal kids and love them just as much.
These special children are from varied social class, some came from the middle class while others are from poor families. With the help of generous donors, some kids with cerebral palsy survive their therapy. This is also the very reason why CCF always supports PCPI’s annual event.

A week before, Chummy Chum received an email from Laura Vicuna Foundation inviting us to sponsor their Children’s Month 2013 event.
Almost 200 children coming from different poor communities attended the said event. The program was delayed for an hour because basketball players from the community were still playing on the covered court that will be used as a venue. They had to request for the players to leave the court so they could start the program.
As the program started, there were group games, lessons and singing in which the children gamely participated in. The kids became more excited and happy when Chummy Chum came out to dance for them, and gave away toys. Chummy Chum with Ms Cabardo for Feeding Program at San Andres, Manila

After the first charity event of the day, CCF went straight to San Andres, Manila to join Ms Cabardo in her feeding program at the squatters area located at Arellano St., San Andres, Manila.
CCF always looks out for the safety of everybody, even in places such as these so we requested for a safe area wherein we can set up our booth.
It was not an ideal one but still, we continued to do so and prepared freebies and snacks including food and toys that Ms Cabardo prepared. A little chaos ensued due to lack of organization with crowd control, but still, we pushed through and entertained the children.

Chummy Chum Graces the FEAST of Our Lady of Peace Parish Church Medical Mission

CCF received a call from Our Lady of Peace Parish Church, for us to sponsor the snack and entertainment of the poor kids who are the beneficiaries of their Medical Mission. The event was held at Our Lady of Peace Covered Court, 4th Estate, Paranaque City.
As we set up our booth, the children were all curiously looking at us and watching how we prepare the popcorns. The organizer told us that she do not like how the kids are very rowdy while watching us cook. We explained to her that one of our mission is to entertain the kids and not giving trouble.
Nevertheless, we just prepared the snacks and freebies in a low key manner so as not to attract kids. After the popcorns were cooked, they were distributed to the kids who were finished with their checkups.
They were also given Chummy Chum freebies including small toys for the small kids.

Chummy Chum Visits Rizal Medical Center

CCF received a request from the Social Service Dept. of Rizal Medical Center to visit their Children’s Ward as part of our commitment to them as they also a recipient of our incubator under Child Survival Maintenance Program (CSMP) Division of CCF. Since it was the case, verbal agreement was enough but then there was new management of the hospital and we were told by the security that we had to secure a permit from the management. We informed our contact from the Social Service and the guard was reprimanded for it.
Nevertheless, we were let in the ward courtesy of an order from the Director’s Office arranged by Social Service. We are truly grateful for their efforts to make the kids in RMC happy.
Big thanks to Ms. Kathrina Victoria Esta & family for the additional refreshments.
