Chummy Chum Brings Smile and Hope to “Yolanda” Kids Survivors

CCF and SM Foundation were at the Villamor Airbase for the second time to help Typhoon Yolanda Survivors who came all the way from the Visayas Region. Villamor Airbase was overflowing with donations from kind-hearted individuals and different groups that heeded the call for help of our ‘kababayans’ who survived the onslaught of said typhoon. There were so many donations that almost everything that the survivors need can be provided immediately.
The same procedure was followed wherein survivors arriving via C130 will be given time to rest and eat, especially the children. Afterwards, volunteers will accompany them to a certain area where they will be given clothes, grocery bags and other pertinent needs. With so many people eager to help, the situation got a little difficult since people/groups were giving the survivors with relief goods left and right and everything was not organized.
Because of this, the survivors were transferred to Camp Aguinaldo since most of those present there thinks that the manner of giving is turning out to be a ‘sarsuela’.
