Chummy Chum with SM Foundation Conducts Medical Mission for “Yolanda” Survivors

CCF together with SM Foundation conducted a Medical Mission at the Villamor Airbase for the survivors of Typhoon Yolanda which came all the way from Tacloban City.
DOH and Military doctors also joined the project which provided free medical checkups to the survivors. When the government’s C130 helicopter went to Tacloban, it was filled with relief goods. It came back loaded with people / families affected by the super typhoon in Tacloban. Those who have relatives in Manila stayed with said relatives and those who have not were taken cared for by DSWD.
All the TV networks were also there for the victims’ “panawagan” purposes. Several volunteers were also there to distribute clothes, food, etc.
Chummy Chum were there to lift up the spirits of kids who were also victims of the super typhoon. The children lined up to our booth and were given balloons, toys, popcorns and cotton candies. Our gesture was quite effective and made the sad children smile and somewhat forgot the terrible ordeal that they experienced. This was confirmed by the doctors and head of operation.
CCF is really proud to bring smile to these kids. This outreach program is only the first among several programs we prepared for the survivors.
