Chummy Chum Graces Don Bosco Pilgrimage Feeding Program

CCF team went to Masiit, Calauan, Laguna for Don Bosco Pilgrimage Feeding Program. The beneficiaries are the children living in the relocation area of the said community.
Don Bosco holds feeding program every year and gather up children from the poorest communities to give them clothes and school supplies in time for school season. CCF team is invited to give joy to the children through entertainment and freebies.
When we arrived at the venue, most of the kids were already there and the parlor games were already starting. When they saw the Chummy Chum van, the children were very excited and curious at the same time as to what we have in store for them.
Together with CCF General Manager and student volunteers from Infotech, we were able to hand out freebies to children as well as light snacks.

Chummy Chum Visits Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center

Chummy Chum surprised the kids scheduled for check up at the OPD section of Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center.
When we got there, we were wondering why few children were there for checkups. We learned from the mothers present there that public hospitals in Manila are already charging fees, unlike before that medical checkups were done for free. But a source told us that the Manila local government issues an “orange card” to the poorest of the poor or those who belong to “Class C” but it has not been implemented yet.
We hope that this will take effect as soon as possible so that the poor people living in Manila will benefit from it.

Chummy Chum Graces SPED Recognition

Chummy Chum attended the SPED Recognition Rites at Muntinlupa City.  Almost 70 special children attended the event. To make their recognition day even more special, Ms. Vicky Tan Graces brought in delicious snacks for them such as cheesedog, cupcakes and juice drinks which the children enjoyed after the program.
When the CCF team arrived at the venue we saw that most of the kids are from poor families which makes it very sad knowing that they have special needs. This is one of the reasons why CCF wants to bring joy to all the less fortunate children with the help of CCF supporters that believes in the mission of the foundation.

Chummy Chum with SM Foundation at SM Marikina Medical Mission

Chummy Chum went to SM Marikina for another medical mission with SM Foundation (SMF). The event was held at SM Marikina underground parking.

The poorest families of Marikina availed the free medical services that SMF conducted, while the kids enjoyed the popcorn and freebies we gave to them.
The children were all quiet at first, just observing us as we cook the popcorn but when they saw the laser light that we set up (a considerable distance from the checkup venue) that ‘danced’ to the beat of the music, the children also stood up and danced along, as if they were not feeling sick.

Chummy Chum came out and danced for the children and had his picture taken with the kids and their parents.

Chummy Chum Graces P. Gomez Elem School-SPED Recognition Day

CCF granted the request of P.Gomez Elem School Admin to sponsor the snacks of children with special needs on their Recognition day.
When we arrived at the school, located at Sampaloc Manila, we encountered a minor problem since our contact on that school had a miscommunication with the Principal in terms of coordinating our participation on the said event. It was all ironed out eventually and we were allowed to set up our booth with the help of Infotech OJTs. We were able to bring smiles to these kids through our free snacks and giveaways.
Big thanks to Atty. Catherine of Personal Collection, QC for donating cupcakes  and also to Ms. Denise Rebolledo for additional refreshments. God bless!

Chummy Chum with Ms. Krizia’s group at Cancer Ward of NCH

Chummy Chum accompanied Ms. Krizia to the Cancer Ward of National Children’s Hospital (NCH) to celebrate her special day with less fortunate children. It was just a dream for her before but has now become a reality.
They met the sick children confined at the Cancer Ward of the said hospital. Some have been battling cancer with success, and some were not as lucky. Bernie’s Clown was also there to make the kids happy. They introduced us at the start of the program and what our mission is. They also introduced Ms. Krizia’s group. Some of the children there are already familiar with CCF.
We started the program with a prayer and parlor games followed suit. Lots of gifts and prizes were given away to the delight of the children and mothers who participated. Chummy Chum came in last and danced for them. After that, they had their pictures taken with the adorable mascot, including Ms. Krizia’s family and friends. They were all contented and happy for sharing their blessings to these less fortunate ones.
We would like to thank Ms. Lea Lopez for her generosity by also sharing her blessings, Ms. Bhing Bombita for her donation and OJT’s who volunteered for the event. To God be the glory!

Chummy Chum Visits Isaac Integrated Elementary School-SPED

CCF team headed to Vergara St., Mandaluyong City to bring joy to special kids of Isaac Integrated Elementary School. This is the first for them to meet Chummy chum. We knew little of their school from the information we gathered from the internet.
We were accompanied by OJT’ from Infotech as they prepared games and program for the children. When Chummy Chum came out to dance, all the kids hugged Chummy Chum and danced along with him.
All the staff of SPED and some parents greatly appreciated what CCF is doing to these kids with special needs.
Thank you very much to Kathrina Victoria for the cupcakes, one generous donor for the lootbags and to the Infotech OJTs.

Chummy Chum Visits East Ave Medical Center-OPD

Compared to what we experienced in PGH, we did not have a hard time entering East Avenue Medical Center (EAMC) thanks to our contact direct from OPD, Ms. Julie. The guards know us very well and are also glad that we bring smile to the sick kids at the said hospital.
When we arrived, the children were almost there gathered at the OPD Ground Floor. When the children saw the balloons, they were all very curious as to what event it was. They all became wide-eyed and excited when they saw our popcorn booth and other Chummy Chum freebies. Chummy Chum came out and rendered a dance number for the kids as well as photo ops.
Big thanks to Mrs. Cobbarubia from BFHEVA for additional refreshments as well as OJTs from Infotech for helping us

Chummy Chum Visits PGH-OPD

It was not that easy to get inside PGH-OPD’s Department of Pediatrics even though we have a permission letter from the Director’s Office. The guards assigned during that time were new but after an hour, they let us in.
However, we were not told that there was no electricity at that time because their power supply was down for 2 weeks now. We were sad for the children who were there for checkups because we can obviously see that they were uncomfortable because of the heat. But at that day, we somehow relieved their discomfort with the snacks and freebies we brought along, although we were not able to cook popcorn for them but nevertheless, we made them smile just the same.
We would like to thank the OJT’s from Infotech as well as Mrs. Cobbarubia for added refreshments.
