Chummy Chum Joins Malayang Kusina’s 1st Feeding Program for SPED Commonwealth Students

CCF Team went to Quezon City and traversed the Monday traffic just to get to the venue as the call time was at 9am.
We fervently prayed to God to clear the road of traffic jams so we can get to our destination early, and he did answer our prayers as the traffic was light at Ateneo to Commonwealth.

We arrived at Commonwealth Elementary School at 8:30 am. We arrived their first and we immediately set up our booth.

Our sponsors from Chef ng Malayang Kusina has arrived and the program started. Since it was lunchtime, the group provided nutritious food to the SPED students and parents present.

After they were done eating, Chummy Chum came out and entertained them with a dance number and gift giving followed suit.

Chummy Chum Graces Childhaus, Inc. 12th year Anniversary in Providing Help to Poor Cancer Kids

Second event for the day, CCF headed to Mapang-akit St., B. Luna, Quezon City here wherein the temporary shelter for poor cancer kid patients is located.

This was built by the Sy’s of SM Malls for Philanthropist Ricky Reyes’ Childhaus project. We got to the venue on time and the place was lined up with different snack booths but we were reserved a space because CCF is special to them.

We were also invited to the inauguration of their new home in Agoncillo St in Manila, a 6-story building also courtesy of the Sy Family. Childhaus is planning to renovate the Childhaus Center here in Mapang-akit St. for cancer kid patients coming from the north.

They have lots of visitors every anniversary but this one is different because it is the birthday of Mr. Hans Sy so the kids sang him a birthday song.

We noticed that the kids are healthier now due to the complete meal that they are receiving courtesy of kind-hearted individuals. Photo shows Chummy Chum with beauty queens and kids from Childhaus.

Big thanks to Ms. Esther Magleo for the mamon.

Chummy Chum w/ LoveLine Cargo Charity LOCA for Feeding Program at Binangonan

CCF staff went to Tolentino Covered Court in San Carlos Heights, Binangonan, Rizal, the venue of the feeding program, upon the invitation of LOCA group.

We had a hard time finding the location due to numerous covered courts in the area so we asked around. We wanted to arrive at the venue ahead of everybody else because we want to see the delight on every poor kids’ face as they see our colorful set-up. In one way, we ease their boredom whenever our sponsors come in late.

When we arrived we LOCA group was also setting up and the kids are already there with quizzical looks on their faces as they try to guess what will happen. CCF and LOCA group gave away popcorn, cotton candies, slippers, coloring materials, shirts, school supplies and food to the beneficiaries.

The kids had a great time as they danced along with Chummy Chum.

Chummy Chum Joins Oral Health Program of JusGen Dentists on Sampaloc Manila

CCF staff went to Barangay 564 in Sampaloc, Manila to take part in the Oral Health Campaign Activity headed by dentists from Justice General Hospital.

The said hospital is also a beneficiary of our CMSP incubator. JusGen dentists scours the poor barangays in Manila every Sunday to teach kids how to take good care of their teeth and the proper way to brush their teeth.

They have been doing this for a year now. The second time that they partner with CCF for the said activity, they saw the big difference and a lot more kids participate in oral health care. Dra. requested us to join them on Saturdays that our schedule is free and we will do so as we see how big of an impact their project has for the poor children in terms of oral health. Picture shows how they conduct lectures to the children. Those who have beautiful teeth were given prizes courtesy of CCF. Twenty-five kids (25) out of 130 beneficiaries were given prizes. Until next time!

Chummy Chum Brings Joy to Sick Kids at Sta Ana Hospital

CCF Team went to Sta. Ana Hospital located at Panadero St., Sta. Ana Manila. This hospital is one of the beneficiaries our incubator.

Our companion, Mark, thought that Sta. Ana is a private hospital because it is fully-air-conditioned and it looks really like a private hospital.

Sta Ana Hospital requested us to go there and we are lucky to have a sponsor such as Mark and his friends. Even they were happy for the year-round charity activity that we do for the poor sick children in different public hospitals in Manila.

Big thanks to Mark and his friends for the hamburger, mamon and juice that were distributed to the kids along with Chummy Chum freebies.

Chummy Chum Joins Rotary Club of Makati for Kabataan West Rembo Program for Poor Kids

CCF went to Tent of Praise in Makati City to grace the ‘Busog Lusog Feeding Program by Rotary Club of Makati. The beneficiaries were chosen from the poorest of the poor residing in West Rembo, Makati.

We arrived at the venue early so we could set up. RC Makati was pleasantly surprised by our effort and event remarked “bakit ngayon lang namin kayo nakilala?” since a lot of their programs for kids really need sponsorship and they are thankful to RAC San Pedro South for introducing them to us.

The children started to arrive and we can all see the excitement on their faces when they saw our popcorn and cotton candy booths. After the prayer, RC Makati introduce their group and the story telling activity began about the life story of Jesus. The kids raised questions and participated actively and they were given prizes for their efforts.

There was also games for the children and when Chummy Chum came out, the kids were all delighted to see him. They had their photos taken with Chummy Chum. Afterwards the snacks were served and we distributed popcorn cotton candies and giveaways.

Chummy Chum Brings Joy to Kids at SMF Medical Mission in Lipa, Batangas

CCF Team headed to Brgy. San Jose, Lipa City, Batangas to join SM Foundation for another Medical and Dental Mission. We were thankful to SMF because they shouldered our toll fee for the Star Toll.
When we got to the venue almost two thousand people were already there and the registration has already started. We set up our booth immediately. When the volunteer doctors arrived, the free medical check-up started and it was smooth. We distributed 500 popcorns and the kids as well as CCF freebies.

Since the beginning, we have always stated that what we do is purely volunteerism and non-partisan, same with SMF. But there are times that politicians take advantage of such to gain favour from their constituents. But we do not allow them to do so. We are firm on our stand that what we do is purely charity work and we will not let anyone use us for their own advantage. The event went well as the volunteers worked hand in hand for the said mission to be successful.

Chummy Chum with Rex & Friends Treat Poor Kids of IL DI TU Education Under The Bridge Program

After the 1st event, CCF team headed to Kabayanihan Center, Barangay San Dionisio, Paranaque City to lead Rex and his friends as they share their blessing to poor kids under “Edukasyon Sa Ilalim ng Tulay” Program headed by Teacher Fe.

Tr. Fe regularly teaches at La Huerta Elementary School and every Saturday, instead of resting, she goes to a certain place under a bridge and encourage kids who live under the bridge and teach them so that they will have the initiative to go to a regular school and pursue their studies.

On this day, Rex spent his birthday by sharing his blessings to these less fortunate children. We can see in the photos how happy he was during the event as he was able to spread joy and cheer to children who have not even experienced a party like this before.

For those who wish to donate or extend their help to Teacher Fe, you may contact us and we will direct your pledges to her.
