Chummy Chum with Ms. Darah at Annual Gift Giving Activity for Poor Kids

After the morning event, CCF team headed straight to Brgy. Tandang Sora in Quezon City for Ms Darah’s annual treat to poor children in their community.
The clowns were already there when we got to the venue. There was a long line at the registration area while we set up our booth and popcorn machine.
It was already late in the afternoon so they let Chummy Chum be first in the program. They prepared lots of game prizes and we contributed Chummy Chum freebies. We also saw grocery packs which will be given to poor families as well as used clothes.
Chummy Chum came out to entertain the children. Afterwards they distributed food and gifts to the beneficiaries.

Chummy Chum Brings Joy to Poor Kids of Panapaan 5 in Bacoor

After the morning event, CCF staff headed straight to Panapaan 5 in Bacoor, Cavite for another gift giving activity as requested by a group of women of the said community.
This event almost got cancelled because of lack of follow up from their group and they also cancelled the booking for the clown because of their constrained budget. The group mention that they will give a token for CCF and when we learned that this is in monetary form (P1,000), we decided to use said money for the clowns for the sake of the children.
It was their first time to avail the services of the clowns and they noticed that the children became more participative. There were lots of food, game prizes, toys and gifts plus Chummy Chum freebies in store for the children.
However, there were some who took some prizes that were intended for the children and we politely told them that those were for the poor kids but instead of complying, the person snapped back at us so we immediately left the place because of the bad attitude accorded to us. We are just saddened that there are still people who are supposedly educated but have bad manners.
Charity events should prioritize beneficiaries which are underprivileged kids and we at CCF conduct the services for free, the least they could do is to make sure that Chummy Chum freebies will be given to intended beneficiaries and not to the organizer.

Chummy Chum Graces Gift Giving Activity of Harte Hanks Staff to West Rembo Kids

CCF went to West Rembo in Makati City to grace the gift giving activity of Harte Hanks Staff to children of the said community, thru the efforts of Rotary Club of Kabataang West Rembo.
We received a request from Ms. Lorela of Harte Hanks and asked as to help them identify a beneficiary and we led her group to Rotary Club of Kabataang West Rembo. The donors came in early because they came straight from work and had not any sleep.
But still, we arrived earlier than them so we could set up. While waiting for the children to arrive, Ms. Lorela’s group took a nap first, after arranging the gifts.
Soon the children arrived and the party started. The clowns led the parlor games to the delight of the poor community kids. We prepared lots of gifts and prizes for the children, as well as the donors. Chummy Chum came out to dance for them and had their picture taken.
These poor kids are Sunday schoolers from a Christian Church.

Chummy chum at GO Motion Production’s Christmas Gift-giving to Cancer Kids of NCH

CCF Staff headed to National Children’s Hospital at E. Rodriguez, Quezon City for Go Motion Productions Christmas Gift-giving activity for cancer kid patients.
They asked for our help to find them worthy beneficiaries and we immediately recommended the Cancer patients at the Hema Ward of NCH.
Most patients here are very sick and are very poor. We arrived there ahead of the sponsors so we could set up everything, including the popcorn machine.
The clown arrived a little late so Sir EJ started the games until the clowns arrived and took over. Chummy Chum came out and danced for the children. There was one kid, still attached to an IV, who can’t help but to dance along with Chummy Chum.
Afterwards, the gift-giving ensued and the kids returned to their respective beds. One of Sir EJ’ s companions went to the kids’ and prayed for them.

Chummy Chum with Ms. Cathy Treat SPED Kids at Correctional Institute for Women

Chummy Chum headed to Correctional Institute for Women at Mandaluyong City for a Christmas Gift-Giving activity to SPED Kids. Not all women here have really committed crime some were just accused but have no means for bail.
The staff was very strict. Cameras and mobile phones were not allowed that’s why we left our bags in the van.
We observed that the women of Correctional are very simple. They ply their wares such as beaded bags and keychains of high quality. They will use their earnings to support their families while they are serving their term in jail.
Sunday is considered as visiting day so Ms. Capangan, one of the jail guards, held a birthday charity treat on that day. We got there in the middle of the program because the event was scheduled even earlier.
SPED kids danced their hearts out, these are children from a nearby elementary school.
A lot of people helped out to make this activity a success, including CCFPI.

Chummy Chum Spread Christmas Cheer to Gawad Kalinga Kids at Nasugbu, Batangas

After the morning event, our group went straight to Brgy. Wawa in Nasugbu, Batangas for Gawad Kalinga’s Christmas Party for the poor children in the community.
At first we were doubtful if there will be any children since it was raining constantly. But when we got to Gawad Kalinga, the children were already there and were patiently waiting for the program to start. There was a different party organized for the children but they opted to attend this event as they know CCF will be here.
We were first treated to a lunch of Tinolang native na manok which was perfect for the weather and we thanked them for their generosity.
After lunch they started to set up. The program kicked off with games hosted by the clowns as the children cheer on.
It was also raining gifts and prizes courtesy of Ms. Ruth who gave toys and lootbags, and Ms. Chie who also contributed prizes and gifts. After the party, the children remarked that it was more fun partying with Chummy Chum because it was complete with popcorn and cotton candies.
Big thanks to Ate Patricia for volunteering.

Chummy Chum with Mrs. Cobarubbia Bring Smiles to Poor Barrio Kids of Calatagan

As early as 5:00am, CCF Team along with the clowns were already on the road on the way to Calatagan, Batangas. Even though it was raining and with zero visibility, it did not deter us from going to the event to spread cheer to poor children with Mrs. Cobarubbia which she does annualy.
As we arrived in Batangas, we had our breakfast first and headed to Calatagan Church, the venue of the event. The place is beautiful. Mrs. Cobarubbia was able to build a rest house here. It was in Calatagan Church that she got to know the people behind the feeding program.
We had a hard time setting up due to bad weather as well as vehicles that was blocking the venue.
The event started with games hosted by the clowns, while we were cooking popcorn. There were lots of prizes that were given away. Afterwards Chummy Chum came out and danced for the children.
After the photo-op, the children were given food, gifts, balloons and lootbags. And because it’s Christmas and the great effort that Mrs. Cobarubbia saw, we were also given tips as Christmas presents.
Big thanks to Patricial for volunteering.
