Chummy Chum Sponsors snacks for 400 kid patients of PCMC's 36th Anniversary Celebration

CCF Team headed to PCMC to grace their 36rh Anniversary Celebration.
For 36 years, PCMC provides free medical service to poor sick children particularly those who have cancer with the help of PCSO and other NGOs.
On this day, they groomed and fixed the little kids to become “Reyna Elena and Sagalas” and had their own Santacruzan inside the hospital. We were particularly drawn to a young lady who has lots of bruises and several lumps in her body which indicates a serious cancer case.
After the parade around the hospital, there were photo ops and several games, gift-giving activity and snacks for the almost 500 kids present.
Thank you to Ms. Elaine Sioco for the additional refreshments.

Chummy Chum Visits Bahay Tuluyan DSWD

CCF went to Mandaluyong to visit Bahay Tuluyan by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Bahay Tuluyan is a halfway home for street children that DSWD were able to save from the streets. Most of these kids are girls. There are also some elderly people and babies abandoned by their mothers.
The Center requested CCF to visit them as they plan to throw a party for April Celebrants. Ms. Ruth responded to our request and donated money for food. The kids had a great time during the mini-party.
Big thanks to Ms. Ruth Salasiban for being a donor for this particular visit. We intend not to disclose the identity of the children for their own protection.

Chummy Chum Graces JRM's 26th Anniversary

CCF graced JRM’s 26th anniversary that was held at the Audio Visual Room of Cembo Elementary School in Makati City.
Our very own Ms. Rowena Bula had fondest memories with this organization as she was part of it in her younger years that’s why when the Ministry requested CCF to sponsor their event, memories came flooding in back to her.
At the event, while the Pastor was preaching at the AVR, CCF started the parlor games to the delight of the children who regularly attends Sunday service at the said Church along with their parents.
Thank you to Ms. Stella Medrano for the bible story books and toys that served as prizes for the games.

Chummy Chum w/ Mrs Medajano Celebrate Daughters Birthday W/ Sick Children

CCF Team went to National Children’s Hospital – Hema Ward to accompany Mrs. Medrano as she and her family celebrates her 10th Charity birthday w/ sick children.
They were inspired by Courageous Caitie’s story, the 3-year old girl who lost her battle to leukemia. We have witnessed how Caitie lived her life and how he battled her sickness.
She is a true inspiration to us all and we can relate to her story as we have witnessed numerous children bravely battling Cancer but sadly losing to it.
So we are thankful to kind-hearted people who go out of their way to make these sick kids happy, such as Mrs. Medrano, who shares her blessings every year with less-fortunate children. And this year we brought her to the Hema Ward of National Children’s Hospital.
The event went well if not for a minor setback wherein there was another group doing their own charity activity.
These young people were boisterous and made the hallway as if it was a playground and it is common knowledge that there should be a limited number allowed in the ward lest the patients get tired.
We asked a staff why there was another group? She said they have no idea. Nevertheless, the beneficiaries had a great time.
Thank you for the donations (books, toys, etc., and to Moris for helping us out today)

For 6 years, every visitation to hospital beneficiaries is a blessing.
We don't go to hospitals because we're sick, but because we bring smiles to pedia patients.
Thank you Ms.Elaine Sioco for the additional refreshments

Chummy Chum Cheers Up Out-Patient Kids at Philippine General Hospital

April 20 – CCF Team had a chance to conduct a gift-giving activity at the OPD Section of Philippine General Hospital (PGH) thanks to the staff of the Pediatrics Department who personally oversee our activity.

Because of the stricter implementation of rules on gift-giving activities by the Director’s Office, only CCF has been patient enough to continue with giving joy to poor sick children wherein some of them even came from faraway places.

Big thanks to Ms. Elaine Sioco for the additional refreshments and Ms. Arvee Tan for the gifts to special children.
