Chummy Chum Joins Summer Camp Bulilit by QCGH Family Medicine Department

Located at Seminary Road in Quezon City, QCGH is not that far but it still took us 3 hours to get there because of the traffic.
We got to the venue a bit late as the registration of kids has already started. We were immediately assisted by the hospital staff and we set up our popcorn machine so we could cook 150 popcorns right away.
The program started by teaching kids of proper hygiene like how to wash their hands properly and how to make homemade oresol, and many more valuable tips.
After the lecture, Chummy Chum came out to entertain the children during the break. They had several activities afterwards.
As the program ends, the organizers distributed school supplies to the children, along with Chummy Chum freebies.

Chummy Chum Visits OPD-Pedia of DJRMH

Next hospital visit for CCF is at Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital (DJRMH) located at Tala, Caloocan City.
The staff at the DJRMH Director’s Office were delighted to hear that CCF will pay their hospital a visit and spread cheer to out-patient kids. At this time, they have a different hospital director as the previous one has already retired but we did not encounter any problem in scheduling because the secretary is still the same.
We got to the hospital early to set up and it was a pleasant surprise that we were given a different area to set up our booth as the space is wider compared to the previous one.
The kids excitedly lined up to us and get snacks for free. Afterwards, Chummy Chum came out to entertain the crowd.

Thank you to Ms. Ericka Buenafe for the additional refreshments.

Chummy Chu w/ SM Foundation, Visits Sisters of Mary Boystown, Silang Cavite

CCF headed to Silang, Cavite for another medical dental mission with SM Foundation at Sisters of Mary Boystown.
At first we thought that Sisters of Mary is an institution for wayward young boys who wanted to change their lives for good, we found out later that it was not the case. Instead, The Sisters of Mary helps some select kids who belong to the poorest of the poor and send them to school and give them proper education.
This purpose has been clearly defined in the mission-vision of the Sisters of Mary School. It includes the molding of the graduates to teach and lead by example the Marian virtues of simplicity, charity, gratitude and joy. The greatest move that the school has done since its establishment is the giving of opportunities to the poorest of the poor but deserving students to be educated.
These students are given access to high quality secondary education with emphasis both in academic and vocational-technical curriculum. They are molded to become ideal high school graduates committed to serve the nation, to love their fellow men, and to spread moral and spiritual values based on the Gospels.
On this day, SM Foundation is  here to provide free medical and dental check up to these kids as CCF bring smiles to their faces through entertainment and freebies.

Chummy Chum Delights Checkup Kids at SMF’s Medical Mission in San Lazaro

"Thank you Chummy Chum for bringing smile to us" said a kid after her check-up from SM Foundation's Medical Mission for the poor families living around SM San Lazaro Manila.

Yearly SM Foundation receives a request from SM San Lazaro to hold a free medical-dental mission in their area to help the poor families in their community. It is not true that the beneficiaries of their Medical Mission are the mall goers. SMF distribute their stubs to the poorest communities near SM San Lazaro.
On that day, almost half of the 1,500 beneficiaries weren’t able to attend because of the ongoing fiesta celebration at a nearby barangay. 700 adults and 200 kids showed up for the medical mission, which is not bad at all.
As early as 7:00AM, SMF’s team of doctors and medical staff were already there as they set up their xray van, arranged the medical equipment, medicines, tables & chairs, meals for the volunteer doctors and staff including CCF team.
Big thanks to Ms. Erika Buenafe for the additional refreshments.

Chummy Chum Surprises Out-Patient Kids at Western Bicutan Health Center

CCF headed to Western Bicutan Health Center to surprise the children having their medical checkup at the said center. They were all delighted to see us as we set up our popcorn machine, colorful decorations and lined up the freebies.
They were asking us on who was having a birthday and why it was being held in the Center. Before Chummy Chum came out, we had a little speech and introduced our foundation and told them our mission of spreading cheer to the poor community especially to poor children who don’t normally get to experience treats and parties.
We told everyone present that we are doing this for free and that we are not endorsing anyone, and that our bosses just wanted to share their blessings to the less fortunate Filipino children. And slowly, we see the smile on everyone’s faces as they appreciate what CCF is doing.
After the picture taking with Chummy Chum, we distributed freebies to children present.
Thank you Ms. Elaine for the additional refreshments.

Chummy Chum With SMF at Medical Dental Mission at Bahay Kalinga

Every year, a medical mission is being held at SM Valenzuela and they bring orphaned kids from Bahay Kalinga so they could have a free medical checkup and be given free vitamins and other medicines.
Some kids were also able to have free medical exams such as x-rays and some even had dental checkups and tooth extraction.
Despite the tooth extraction, it never stopped them from lining up to get free snacks and freebies courtesy of Chummy Chum. Almost 50 children with ages from 1yr old and up received freebies from CCF. Even the poor children from nearby communities had a great time during the activity.
Bahay Kalinga is a halfway home for abandoned children and elderly located in Valenzuela City.
Thanks again Ms. Elaine Sioco for additional refreshments.

CCF had another medical mission with SM Foundation, this time at Sta. Mesa, Manila. The activity was held at the parking area of SM Sta. Mesa.
SM Foundation provided CCF with 100 stubs in which we can distribute to worthy beneficiaries within the community. CCF chose the children of Calvary Foursquare Community. They were very grateful as they were able to avail the free medical and dental service courtesy of SMF and they also received gift packs from Watsons and Chummy Chum Foundation.

Chummy Chum Brings Smiles to Out-Patient Kids at Ospital ng Sampaloc

CCF went to Ospital ng Sampaloc (OSAM) as part of our monthly visits to public hospitals. This hospital is one of the CMSEP beneficiaries as we donated an incubator way back 2011. OSAM is surrounded by the poorest of the poor communities of Manila that is why majority of their patients have no means of paying for medical services.
On this day we once again spread cheers to the poor children who had their medical checkup. OSAM has also requested for us to donate oxygen regulators in which we will forward to our bosses. The poor kids had a great time as they received snacks and freebies courtesy of Chummy Chum. They also had their picture taken with the adorable mascot.

Thank you to Ms. Elaine Sioco for the cupcakes and juice drinks.
