Chummy Chum Graces Foundation Day of Alfonso Central Elementary School

CCF Team went to Tagaytay City to spend the day entertaining poor students and SPED kids of Alfonso Elementary School on their Foundation Day Celebration. Alfonso Central SPED celebrated its 3rd year of educating poor SPED children who cannot afford to go to private SPED schools. Today we were able to cheer up the SPED Kids on the founding anniversary of Alfonso Central.
There is a SPED school before this that caters to children with special needs although it is considered as semi-private. When Alfonso Central established a SPED school, most of the students from that semi-private school transferred to Alfonso since it is free. The owner of the said semi-private school felt bad to the point that they even asked us not to entertain the invitation of Alfonso, so when we accepted Alfonso Central’s invitation, the said semi-private SPED school felt bad. We at CCF aims to serve the poor and neglected children and for everyone who wish to share their blessings to these poor kids.

Thank you to Ma’am Trina for the lootbags.

Chummy Chum w/ Ms. Francine & Friends for birthday treat to Kids at Kanlungan sa Erma

CCF Team granted the request of Ms. Francine to help her find an orphanage near her place wherein she can share her blessings to less-fortunate children.
We inquired on several orphanages but they are “fully-booked” until we found Kanlungan Sa Erma in Malate. This is where Ms Francine celebrated her birthday together with the poor kids. Since there were few children at Kanlungan sa Erma, they also invited children from their adopted community, those living ‘along the riles’.
The activity was held on the 1st floor and we set up the popcorn and cotton candy booths, as well as the ice cream stand that Ms. Francine has hired. The clowns entertained the kids, after which Chummy Chum came out and danced with the children and had their pictures taken with him.
The children enjoyed the party very much and we all went home with happy faces and contentment in our hearts.

Chummy Chu, Graces 13th Anniversary of Childhaus

After the morning event, CCF Team went to Agoncillo St., in Malate, Manila to grace the 13th anniversary of Childhaus owned by renowned philanthropist, Mother Ricky Reyes. Childhaus is a new halfway home for poor cancer kids. It was donated by Mr. Henry Sy and was supported by Mother Ricky’s friends. The program went well as the kids enjoyed every minute of it. When it was near dinner time, Chummy Chum came out and entertained the sick cancer kids. Sick kids that are being taken cared of here usually get better because they have their own doctor and director of Childhaus. They are currently seeking for generous individuals to sponsor the children’s medical treatment and we at CCF will continue to assist Childhaus.

Chummy Chum w/ Ms. Elaine & Friends at Silong Tanglaw Orphanage

CCF Team started the day by going to Silong Tanglaw Orphanage for a charity activity sponsored by Ms. Elaine and friends. The orphanage is located at G. Araneta St., Quezon City.
It has been almost three (3) years since we’ve been at Silong Tanglaw since we were more focused on visiting hospitals and medical mission. It’s not that we have forgotten them, it’s just that there was conflict in schedules. This center has overcome major trials, one of which was a threat of closure due to lack of funds, as well as when they experienced flooding that almost destroyed the center. They asked and pleaded for donors to help them even just to survive for a day. They have been calling foundations a lot of times, one of them is CCF but to no avail. Eventually we got in touch and they were very happy about it. Ms. Elaine wanted to choose a place that is near her place and it is fortunate that we chose Silong Tanglaw to be the beneficiary.
Volunteers helped in putting up the charity party for the children and it eventually became successful as the children and the sponsors both have a grand time during the party. We continue to ask generous individuals/organizations to help Silong Tanglaw.

Thank you to UPLB students for volunteering.

Chummy Chum Graces Mr Rex's Birthday Charity Celebration for Childhope Foundation Street Kids

After the morning event, CCF attended Mr Rex’s 30th Birthday Celebration w/ Street Children of Childhope Foundation. The event was held at his new condo, at Bay Suite – Admiral Hotel in Roxas Boulevard, Manila.
Mr. Rex has been doing charity activities with us for five (5) years now as he shares his blessing with less fortunate children. This time we invited street children from Childhope Foundation and brought them to this posh venue.
The event was a successful one, although we noticed that the catering personnel were cold and distant in attending to the kids, just because they were grimy. Maybe the staff were not properly informed that these kids are part of the event.
There were a lot of leftover foods that could have been given to the kids to take home for their siblings, but the catering staff just threw them away. The host, Mr. Rex was not aware of what happened.
Despite of it, the children were very happy and thankful because they were invited to an elegant place and for the gifts they received from Mr. Rex and CCF.
Big thanks to Kuya Al for volunteering.

Chummy Chum Joins SM Foundation’s Medical Mission at Brgy. Batis

CCF Team headed to Barangay Batis in San Juan, Metro Manila to participate in the medical mission organized by SM Foundation.
Barangay Batis is a community composed of poor families that is why they are delighted whenever SMFI organizes a medical mission in their area.
When we arrived, there are already several kids who were done with their checkup and are about to go home. But when they saw the popcorns, they all hurriedly went back to the venue and patiently waited.
The medical mission was a success as they were able to hand out free reading glasses to the beneficiaries as well as free checkup such as CBC, X-Ray, ECG, etc.

Big thanks to Al for volunteering.

Chummy Chum w/ Ms. Sison for Annual Birthday Treat to NCH Cancer Kids

CCF Team went to National Children’s Hospital (NCH) at E. Rodriguez Quezon City for Mrs. Sison’s annual birthday charity activity for terminally ill children.
We encounter different faces every month when we go to NCH, all of them are battling the Big C.
Some of them recover and some are continuing the fight. That’s why doctors are trying their best to strengthen the kids’ immune system and avoid processed food which can cause cancer especially to pregnant mothers because there are cases of children being born with cancer cells.
Today, Mrs. Sison is here to share her blessings to the cancer kid patients. We prepared loot bags filled with gifts as well as Jollibee meals courtesy of Mrs. Sison.
Thank you Ms. Gidget for helping us out.

Chummy Chum Welcomes Ms. Gidget at CCF Headquarters

It was a pleasant surprise to see Ms. Gidget visit us at our office.
She expressed her willingness to help in any which way she can even though she is not well-off and cannot contribute financially.
Just like Gidget, we welcome, with open arms, everyone who wants to help by being volunteers in our outreach activities.
Thank you to all our volunteers in sharing your time and effort, just like Ms. Gidget.
