Chummy Chum at Ms. Emma Ruth’s Birthday Treat to Cancer Kids

Chummy Chum's holidays are not rest days, they are perfect days to give smiles to children! Chummy Chum, and the rest of the CCF Team, joined Ms. Emma Ruth for her birthday treat to cancer-patient children of National Children Hospital located at E. Rodriguez, Quezon City.
CCF Team get to visit these kids 3x a month and we see new faces in the hospital beds every time.
For the six years that we have been doing charity work in this hospital, we are glad to know that we are able to help those sick kids and somehow alleviate their pains by making them happy and also by providing some assistance in their medical needs.

Chummy Chum Graces ‘Music Kalye’ for Street Kids of Child Hope Asia Philippines

After the morning event, CCF Team headed to Museong Pambata for the Music Kalye event for Children by Child Hope Asia Philippines.
Child hope Foundation oversees the welfare of street children and out-of-school youths and teach them good manners and other life lessons to be better individuals. Sometimes they get to pick up street kids and turn them over to Department of Social Welfare & Development (DSWD) so said kids can go back to their families.
Child Hope has been doing said advocacy for so many years with the help of kind individuals.
On this day, they once again gathered street children to showcase their talent in singing and dancing thru “Music Kalye”. CCF Team showed support by giving these kids snacks and freebies.
Thank you very much Ms. Khai for donating 50 loot bags for the street children.

Chummy Chum w/ Ms. Alice Birthday Treat to Cancer Kids at Bahay Aruga

CCF Team with Ms. Alice went to Bahay Aruga in the morning for her annual birthday gift-giving activity.
Bahay Aruga is a halfway home for poor pediatric cancer patients that are having their treatment in Philippine General Hospital (PGH) located in Taft Ave., Manila. Even if she is not feeling well, Ms. Alice still went to the activity for the sake of the children. It is just sad to know that some of the cancer kid patients that we know has gone home and some has passed away. A lot of kind-hearted individuals generously share their blessings to these poor sick children but not a few are asking why their gift-giving activities are not posted by the founder in their Facebook page for them to at least feel the significance of their deeds. This is mostly the question being asked of us, but we too do not know the answer, because we are also not being acknowledged which we deemed not that important, as long as we know we’re able to help the sick kids and make them happy. During the party, the founder came to us and asked us to help a cancer kid patient that need financial assistance so the kid could have his radiation therapy in Las PiƱas. We immediately accompanied them to one of our donors, Ms. Elaine and she kind-heartedly gave them money for their fare.

Photo shows Chummy Chum together with the celebrant and cancer kid patients. Big thanks to Ms. Elaine for donating cash to Loraine Legaspi who has eye cancer.

Chummy Chum Bring Cheers to Kids in SMFI Medical Mission at SM-Sucat Paranaque

CCF Team went to SM Sucat for another SMFI Medical-Dental Mission to poor families residing within the area. More than 500 children were present at the event. We were truly grateful to SMFI because they provided a driver for us so we could push through with the activity.
Truly, God work wonders so CCF Team could continue with our mission to bring smile to less-fortunate children. In a huddle among former CCF drivers, they noticed that when a Chummy Chum truck is on the road, we seldom come late on an activity or event.
On this day, we were able to serve 500 poor children as we gave them popcorns, snacks and freebies. During the event, some Paranaque officials arrived, including Cong. Ryan Yllana and his brother, actor Jomari Yllana.

Thank you to Ms. Khai and Leslie Food Corporation for the additional refreshments.

Chummy Chum Visits Ospital ng Binan OPD & Day Care Students in Brgy. Canlalay

CCF Team went to visit Kids at Ospital ng Binan OPD as well as daycare students at Barangay Canlalay in Binan City, Laguna.
We were able to meet a reporter from a medical mission and we informed said reporter that we can donate a new incubator to a public hospital provided that our team will conduct a C.I. first so we timed it during the gift giving activity.
We met the Mayor’s wife and we were pleasantly surprised at the preparation that OsBin did for the activity as this was the first time that they prepared so much for the kids and we are also thankful to Go Forward Foundation for the additional gifts for the kids. We were also treated to a ‘salo-salo’ after the activity.

Thank you very much to Ms. Elaine and Sir Gary for the toys and lootbags.

Chummy Chum Joins Navy Marine Reserve Medical-Dental Mission at Bacoor, Cavite

CCF Team granted the request of Col. Manzano of the Navy Marine (Reserve) to take part in their medical-dental mission in Brgy. Singualasan, a poor community located in Bacoor, Cavite.
When we got to the place, the registration process is already on going. They gave us a big space where we could set up our booth.
The original plan was they will let the children play after the checkup is done but some of the kids got tired of waiting and just went home so we told the kids that we will give them freebies after they’re done with their checkup and that became the flow of the program.
The children and also the Marines had their photos taken with Chummy Chum.
Big thanks to Leslie’s Food Corporation for the additional refreshments.

Chummy Chum Joins SMFI Medical-Dental Mission at Brgy. Dita, Sta Rosa, Laguna

CCF Team headed to Sta. Rosa City, Laguna for another Medical Mission of SM Foundation. The activity was held at the Covered Court of Centro De San Lorenzo in Barangay Dita.
SMFI volunteers were very cooperative and assisted the patients especially the kids who went there for free medical checkup.
The kids were already excited the moment we set up our booth and their eyes lit up when it was announced that CCF will give away freebies to them after the checkup.
We got to meet a reporter from Binan, Laguna who informed us about a local hospital in their place that lacks medical facilities.
The said reported paved the way for us to meet the Mayor of Binan and they were very delighted to know that they can be considered as possible recipient of a new incubator.

Chummy Chum w/ Mrs. Sison Sponsors GMA-Kapuso’s “Gift for A Cause” for Cancer Kids

CCF Team geared up for a big event as we tie-up with Mrs. Sison to sponsor GMA Kapuso’s “Gift Giving for a Cause” for Cancer Kid patients. The event was held at the Atrium Hall of Ever Gotesco in Commonwealth, Quezon City.
Yearly, GMA Kapuso Foundation is requesting for sponsors for food, toys and loot bags for their recipients. Some were saying that we should not accommodate such big foundations because they are already ’rich’. But because of the good relationship we have with GMA-Kapuso, we cannot say no to them.
Mrs. Sison is very generous and willing to donate to their cause. We ordered meals from a popular fast food chain and immediately set up our booth in the venue.
The program went on well and the kids had a great time especially that there were celebrities who graced the affair and entertained the sick kids as well.
Thank you very much to Mrs. Sison for always trusting CCF’s mission to cancer kid patients, and also to Ms. Jane and Ms. Karen for helping us today.
