EXO Fans Celebrate Their Grand Fans' Day with the Theme "DO IT TOGETHER" with Chummy Chum for Their Outreach Program at Bahay Tuluyan

April 29, 2017

MANDALUYONG CITY – This Saturday afternoon, Chummy Chum went to Mandaluyong City where Bahay Tuluyan is located. The majority of the kids in Bahay Tuluyan are abused and rape victims, so taking pictures is strictly not allowed.

The donors for today sent us an email for a location for an event somewhere in Mandaluyong City. They are avid fans of a Korean pop group named EXO. Most of the donors live in Mandaluyong City.

We are not the first group to hold a party in Bahay Tuluyan today so upon our arrival, we were lead to a room where we waited for the first group to finish. We offered the group a cooperation with Chummy Chum in some other time in which they delightfully looked forward to.

The fans of EXO collaborated in a charity event to send a message to the members of EXO. According to them, the Korean-Chinese boy group wants to hold a charity event when they go to the Philippines. In response to this wish, their fans started the vision. They brought along with them food, gifts, and stuff toys that children happily received.

We intended not to disclose photos of the kids for their protection.

Chummy Chum Joins Stella on Her 11th Birthday Celebration with Children from DSWD Bahay Aruga

 April 29, 2017

PASIG CITY – This Saturday morning, we joined a family from Laguna for the second time for the 11th birthday of Stella, daughter of the donor. We met their family through email.

In events like today, it is important to have everything fixed based on what and how to make the less-fortunate children smile. The first time we went to Bahay Aruga was already 5 years ago. Today, the Mayor had the place renovated and funded but they still need help with outreach events. Like us, they also rely on donations which lead Chummy Chum and the Medrano family to the place.

Due to lack of time, the labor was distributed to the volunteers from ordering of food to purchasing the goods. When this day arrived, the children were delighted to see what we had prepared for them. They were also very entertained by Rick, a ventriloquist puppet.

We intended not to disclose photos of the kids for their protection.

Chummy Chum Foundation Philippines Inc. Joins PHAP Cares Foundation in Its Free Medical, Dental, Tuli, etc. Service for Poor Families

Date: April 23, 2017
Venue: Our Lourdes Hospital, San Dionisio, Paranaque City

While aging, a person often forgets things. Like today. The Chummy Chum buckets were left at the office, forcing us to go the nearest market to purchase alternative popcorn buckets. Luckily, the church where today’s event will be held is nearby to a market. Though, there was still some traffic on the road.

The number of buckets left is 70, and it is nerve-racking to estimate if the buckets are still enough for the children that will be having the services offered by PHAP Cares. Fortunately and surprisingly, the buckets are enough. We were able to give popcorn to children who just entered manhood today by getting circumcised.

There are also freebies given to them as rewards for being brave young men. They are all thankful to Chummy Chum and PHAP Cares for the free service. So are we to them.

Mrs. Magleo and Her Family Give Easter Treats to Kids of Philippine Cerebral Palsy Inc.

April 22, 2017

Venue: Philippine Cerebral Palsy, Makati

MAKATI CITY - Today we reunited with Mrs. Magleo, an avid partner of Chummy Chum Foundation on helping less-fortunate children. The event is at the Philippine Cerebral Palsy Inc., located in Makati City where most children are on wheelchair. Most of them have the disease ever since they were born.

We have a contact from PCPI for almost 6 years, to whom we go to whenever a donor wants to make children smile.

Mrs. Magleo, her team, and some on-the-job trainees lead the games which entertained the children. They served the popcorn to children waiting for lunch. But prior to that, Chummy Chum gave them a dance number and a picture-taking on which the kids gladly participated to. Smiling on the camera lens as the photographer says “Say cheese!”

Chummy Chum Joins the Macoy Family and Their Friends' Feeding Program for Poor Kids at Pacita, Laguna

April 21, 2017

PACITA, LAGUNA - This request can be traced from almost last year; and now, since conflicting schedules have finally settled, Chummy Chum was able to join them. Upon our arrival to the venue, they gave us the food they prepared for us and for the clowns. While setting up our booth, the clowns also prepared their speakers brought by the group we are joining today. This day is the donor's birthday and he wanted to celebrate his special day by making children happy with the help of his family and volunteers. The event started with games led by the clown who later gave them a magic show, twisted balloons, and puppet show. Then, Chummy Chum gave them a dance number and had picture-taking with them. The kids were then given the food.

Thank you very much Ms. April for toys as prizes for the games.

Ms. April and Company Shares Blessings to the Kids of the Reception and Study Center for Children Orphanage at Quezon City

April 20, 2017

QUEZON CITY - We partnered with Ms. April last 2011 in a small community in Quezon City and such partnership only happened again today. Now, Ms. April has a family and misses doing charity events. She plans to do outreach programs with her close friends during her birthdays. Her friends contacted the center of the community and scheduled an event for her. It is their first time in this place. There are almost 100 small children, so she wondered what would be appropriate to give/to feed to them. The Chummy Chum team has been here (at RSCC) where children were temporarily held in custody due to legal and family problems, abuse, and abandonment. Some were abandoned due to financial challenges. Some come back to their children, and some don't. When a children was held in the center for too long, they become ready for adoption.

Today, Ms. April made these children smile and forget the challenges life has given them at a very young age. She gave them waffles and juices. Instead of giving them toys, she focused on the needs of the center. There were entertained by the clowns and Chummy Chum.

We intended to not disclose photos of the kids for their protection.

Chummy Chum and Sponsors Make Children of Silungan of Pag-asa Smile

April 9, 2017

PACO, MANILA - We at Chummy Chum Foundation appreciate acknowledgments from groups and organizations we have partnerships with. Sagip Buhay Organization (SBO) sent a request to Chummy Chum to join them in their outreach program for children with cancer in Shelter of Hope or Silungan ng Pag-asa. Silungan ng Pag-asa was founded by a married couple who serve in Christian churches. According to them, they founded the organization out of faith for they have no income as Christian servers. They help kids while they are being treated at PGH.

We found a way to contact the head of Silungan ng Pag-asa. We had the total number of children so that the concern for food and freebies will be settled. We asked for helped from our sponsors like Mrs. Sison and Ms. Elaine, who have been generous to people in need.

The venue was at the 3rd floor. We met the children with cancer that the couple is helping with the best they can. We organized our booth with our equipment and the food and groceries donated by Mrs. Sison and Ms. Elaine. Not long after our arrival, Sagip Buhay Organization arrived with a lot of things prepared for the children with sickness. There was a puppet show and a lot of entertainment before Chummy Chum gave them a dance number and had a picture-taking with the children and everyone.

Chummy Chum would like to express gratitude to Mrs. Sison for the doughnuts, pizza and toys given to Silungan ng Pag-asa at Paco, Manila. Also to Ms. Elaine for the fruits, groceries and some gifts together with Sagip Buhay Organization and volunteers who also brought gifts, rice, milk and more. Thanks to everyone who made the gift-giving extravagant.

Chummy Chum Sponsors the Snack of Kids Waiting to be Checked Up by SM Foundation's Free Health Service for Poor Families

April 6, 2017

PASIG CITY - Today, another event was done with our partner, SM Foundation. At the venue, we wondered who the social workers invited to the check up while most of the people living nearby SM Pasig are in the middle class. Apparently, they invited the families of the helpers and personal drivers of people living there. They were given free medical services like x-ray, CBC, ECG, check ups, and the medicine the doctor prescribed was also given for free. Then, they go to the booth of Chummy Chum to receive freebies that children loved. The smell of the popcorn attracted the kids. But whenever they ask how much is a bucket of popcorn, the response was "If you wait patiently, you will have one!"
