Chummy Chum Joins Ms. Myla for Birthday Treat to Poor Students of La Huerta Elementary School

CCF Team headed to La Huerta Elementary School to grant Ms. Myla’s request for us to sponsor a birthday treat to poor students.
Ms. Myla is the Principal of the said school. She is very shy but she took enough courage to ask her friends, co-teachers and school staff to donate for the gift-giving event in order to make the selected poor children happy.
On this day, the school was filled with balloons, gifts, freebies, etc., as Ms. Myla celebrates her birthday with these kids.
The party was made more enjoyable by clowns, Luke & Ricky.
We had a bit of a problem with our Chummy Chum truck but Ms. Myla helped us by fetching us just so the party for the children will push through.

Chummy Chum with 5,000-lunchbox donation for beneficiaries

For the whole year that Chummy Chum has been doing outreach programs with various donors there is one company that took notice of what we are doing and left a message in our website, inquiring if they could donate additional freebies for Chummy Chum.
We immediately got in touch with them and they pledged to donate nice lunchboxes. Not just 100pcs., but 5000pcs of lunchboxes and more. We coordinated with them and they gave us the address and contact person to look for.
They suggested that we go there in the middle of the night as to avoid traffic.
We went there at 3:00am.
We informed the guard of the code given to us and they facilitated the release of the donation.
This is, by far, the biggest donation that Chummy Chum has received for this year. Thank you very much for choosing Chummy Chum!

When we got to the venue, the medical mission has started to commence as several poor families avail of free medical and dental services as well as free medicines.
Children who were done with their checkups lined up to our booth and we gave them popcorn and Chummy Chum freebies. There's this one kid who doesn't have any underpants and when we gave him a branded underwear, he was elated.
Some staff were also asking us for popcorns but we gently remind them that those were for the sick children.

Chummy Chum Joins Reed Elsevier Cares Outreach Program for Special Kids at Guanela Homes

CCF Team headed to Guanela Homes Servant of Charity located at Pinkian Road, Quezon City to assist Reed Elsevier on their Outreach Program for Children with special needs and mentally challenged adults.
It has been a long time since we visited the children here. There were some familiar faces whom we saw when they were just little and continually guided by the staff of Guanela Homes.
As we were setting up our booth, some kids remembered us. Reed Elsevier were very delighted of CCF’s free services. Although we have now a new rule, wherein big companies who tap our services are requested to donate P5,000 or P10,000 worth of cupcakes, juice or toys, etc. for the beneficiaries. Instead of cash payment, we request them for in-kind donations for our beneficiaries on our next activities.

The program commenced and when Chummy Chum came out, the children danced along with him and everyone had a great time, including the employees from Reed Elsevier. Everyone was treated to a simple lunch prepared by the group. They also prepared rice, canned goods, etc., that were donated to the center.
