PACO, MANILA – We at Chummy Chum Foundation appreciate acknowledgments from groups and organizations we have partnerships with. Sagip Buhay Organization (SBO) sent a request to Chummy Chum to join them in their outreach program for children with cancer in Shelter of Hope or Silungan ng Pag-asa. Silungan ng Pag-asa was founded by a married couple who serve in Christian churches. According to them, they founded the organization out of faith for they have no income as Christian servers. They help kids while they are being treated at PGH.
We found a way to contact the head of Silungan ng Pag-asa. We had the total number of children so that the concern for food and freebies will be settled. We asked for helped from our sponsors like Mrs. Sison and Ms. Elaine, who have been generous to people in need.
The venue was at the 3rd floor. We met the children with cancer that the couple is helping with the best they can. We organized our booth with our equipment and the food and groceries donated by Mrs. Sison and Ms. Elaine. Not long after our arrival, Sagip Buhay Organization arrived with a lot of things prepared for the children with sickness. There was a puppet show and a lot of entertainment before Chummy Chum gave them a dance number and had a picture-taking with the children and everyone.
Chummy Chum would like to express gratitude to Mrs. Sison for the doughnuts, pizza and toys given to Silungan ng Pag-asa at Paco, Manila. Also to Ms. Elaine for the fruits, groceries and some gifts together with Sagip Buhay Organization and volunteers who also brought gifts, rice, milk and more. Thanks to everyone who made the gift-giving extravagant.
