Taking care of Tyler.

Writer's picture: N GN G

#78: Tyler Jeon B. Clar, 3, Malignant mixed germ cell tumor stage IV, Philippine Children Medical Center (PCMC)

Tyler was diagnosed last year with a germ cell tumor, a congenital malignant form of cyst in his anus. He is being treated with chemotherapy in PCMC as an outpatient and on a weekly medical check-up. His doctors are planning to get the tumor removed through surgery. The father is a street vendor – selling anything legal, and the income is not enough to cover the basic needs of the family, more so the medical management of Tyler. The mother had no choice but to resign from her job, to focus on taking care of Tyler since he was diagnosed with the disease last year.

With the untiring service of the Chummy Chum team, the founder sent help to Tyler with cash assistance for his medical management and nourishment, along with a box of formula milk, sets of coloring books, Chummy toy, and wrist band as well as grocery items to share with the family.
