ZC at the National Children’s Hospital.

CMAP No. 188: ZC, 4, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, National Children’s Hospital (NCH)

ZC was diagnosed with blood when he was born. He is the middle child among 3 siblings. His father is a project-based construction worker whose income is not enough to cover the family’s basic needs more so the medical needs of the sick child. The mother helps by making rugs on a quota basis, but not all the time she gets job orders. Despite the scarcity, the parents still send the 2 other children to school, while ZC is being treated and monitored at home and at the hospital. The family is lucky to have a meal twice a day.

Chummy Chum met him at the National Children’s Hospital. ZC was granted Php 10,000 cash assistance for his medical and nutritional needs.

(Name is not revealed for the child’s privacy, security, and protection).

(The value has to be mentioned for transparency and accountability).
