6 March 2026 Mangahan Floodway, Pasig City. Sometimes, the most meaningful moments happen when plans suddenly change. The Chummy Chum team was supposed to visit the Pasig City General Hospital to bring smiles to young patients. But due to an unexpected situation and the need to disinfect the hospital area, the visit had to be postponed. Instead of letting the day go to waste, the team quickly searched for another place where joy was needed just as much—maybe even more. With the help of Ms. Mina’s Check Group and the Pasig Urban Settlement Office, the team redirected their outreach to families from one of the poorest communities near the floodway between the Pasig River and Laguna de Bay. Many of their homes had recently been swept away by strong flooding during the last typhoon, forcing families to relocate to the Pasig Housing Project. That afternoon, something magical happened. Games were prepared, popcorn was cooking, and the children gathered with curiosity. Then suddenly—Chummy Chum appeared. The children’s faces lit up instantly. Some ran forward to hug him, others shouted with excitement, asking to dance and play. For many of them, moments like this are rare. Because of the hardships their families face, a real children’s party—with games, treats, and gifts—is something they seldom get to experience. But that day, the celebration was all for them. They danced, laughed, took photos, enjoyed food and juice, and lined up excitedly for toys, clothes, and sweet cotton candy. For a few hours, worries disappeared and the place was filled with nothing but smiles. A cancelled plan turned into a beautiful surprise—one that these children will surely remember. 1 March 2026 Silver Streak Garage, Brgy. 161, Caloocan City   For the sixth time, former city mayor Jun Simon partnered with the Chummy Chum Foundation to bring joy to children in need. This time, the outreach reached 300 children living along Rose Street, one of the most underserved areas in the city.   The Chummy Chum team departed early from the headquarters in the south, traveling through the Metro Manila Skyway to arrive at the event venue in the north by 7 a.m. The program began with a Mass, as is tradition in charity events with Jun Simon, and during the Mass the team quietly set up the activity area so that the games and activities could start immediately afterward. Soon after the Mass, the hired clowns and Ms. Sari Simon, daughter of Mr. Jun Simon, joined the children to kick off the celebration.   The morning quickly filled with laughter as the clowns hosted lively parlor games while others delighted the children with colorful face painting. Excited by the prizes prepared by the Chummy Chum team, nearly every child eagerly participated. The fun continued with amusing magic tricks that kept the children cheering and laughing.   Before the highlight of the event, the team shared Chummy Chum’s mission—to bring joy to children who need it most: young patients with serious illnesses in public hospitals, children from orphanages, special education students in public schools, and children from the poorest communities, including those affected by disasters.   When Chummy Chum the mascot finally appeared, the children erupted in cheers. They ran forward with excitement, surrounding the mascot with hugs so enthusiastic they nearly knocked him over. On this special day, the team found themselves visiting children from one of the city’s most underprivileged barangays—and what began as a simple outreach quickly turned into a beautiful celebration of joy, laughter, and connection. With the kind support of the barangay volunteers, the team was able to find a safe little space where they could set up their booth, gather the children, and hold a cheerful children’s party. The area may have been modest in size, but once the children arrived, the place came alive with laughter, excitement, and curious little faces. The energy in the air was unmistakable—pure, joyful anticipation. The program began with the team introducing Chummy Chum and sharing the heart behind the foundation’s mission: bringing joy and hope to children who need it most. Soon after, a few lively parlor games got everyone moving and laughing. Giggles filled the air as the children eagerly joined in, cheering one another on. And then, the moment everyone had been waiting for finally arrived. Chummy Chum made his appearance—and instantly became the star of the celebration. For many of the children, it was their very first time meeting him. Yet within seconds, it felt as though they had known him forever. San Miguel Pasig City.     A heartfelt collaboration between Chummy Chum and the fan group JMFYang brought a memorable day of joy to children living in one of Pasig’s most underserved communities. The group had reached out with a simple wish—to share their blessings with children who need it most—and Chummy Chum quickly organized a special outreach program in Tambakan 2, a landfill community where many families earn a living by collecting and selling recyclable waste.   For many of the children growing up in this environment, a celebration like this is something they rarely experience. Early in the day, the Chummy Chum team and JMFYang volunteers worked together to set up a lively venue filled with small surprises and treats. JMFYang prepared food packs and gifts, while Chummy Chum added popcorn, cotton candy, souvenirs, and special prizes for games and activities. Generous donors also contributed pre-loved clothes, new undergarments, diapers, and other essentials.   To make the day even more festive, JMFYang invited a clown who entertained the children with laughter, games, and a magic show. The program began with a prayer, followed by fun-filled activities that kept the children smiling throughout the event.   The highlight of the celebration came when Chummy Chum the mascot appeared and performed a cheerful dance. The children erupted with excitement—many rushing forward to wave, laugh, and dance along. Though it was already Chummy Chum’s second visit to Tambakan 2, the joy on the children’s faces showed that the magic of the moment had not faded. For them, the visit was a reminder that they are seen, loved, and cared for.   The community expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chummy Chum and JMFYang for sharing their time, kindness, and generosity. The discovery made the collaboration even more meaningful. Over the years, Chummy Chum has also worked with other fan communities, including supporters of Vice Ganda – Vicelon International and BINI, in similar charity initiatives.   In places where daily life is often difficult, even a simple day of laughter, games, and shared kindness can create lasting memories—reminding children that joy can be found even in the most unexpected places.

27 February 2026 Brgy 655, Intramuros, Manila   In the aftermath of the massive fire on February 25 that left hundreds of families without homes and belongings, many victims were scattered across different temporary shelters—some staying in schools while others were relocated to evacuation areas as far as Intramuros. Recognizing that those outside formal evacuation centers often receive fewer resources, the Chummy Chum team chose to focus their efforts on these families.   With no designated area for their activity, the team was deeply grateful when Bahay Tsinoy kindly opened their space for the children to gather. Their generosity made it possible to hold a simple yet meaningful program for the young fire survivors.   As the children arrived and their mothers registered their names, the team prepared small gifts and food. The children’s eyes lit up at the sight of the toys—simple things that, for a moment, helped replace what the fire had taken away.   When Chummy Chum finally appeared, the children burst into cheers and laughter. For many of them, it was the first time a mascot had ever visited them, especially in such a difficult moment. As her birthday approached, she had a simple yet beautiful wish — to celebrate it with children who needed comfort, joy, and encouragement the most. From the beginning, her excitement was heartfelt and sincere. She shared her plan to spend her birthday at Bahay Aruga in Manila, together with her family, bringing smiles to the brave children staying there. For her, celebrating another year of life meant sharing her blessings with others. When the day finally arrived, the Lleva and Pineda families came early, carrying food, gifts, and thoughtful surprises for the children. More importantly, they came with open hearts. Together with the Chummy Chum team, they prepared the venue, filling it with cheerful decorations and creating a warm, welcoming space for everyone. The celebration was simple yet full of life. For their second event, they hurried from the east side of the metro to the west to join Ms. Jeralen, who chose to celebrate her birthday with street children and underprivileged youth under the care of Alay ng Pag-Asa Foundation   For Ms. Jeralen, her birthday was not just a personal milestone—it was a heartfelt thanksgiving for the blessings and new life she has received. Her way of expressing gratitude was simple yet beautiful: to give back and bring joy to children most in need.   The celebration began with a prayer, followed by lively parlor games, a magical puppet show, and a delightful performance by a friendly clown. Then came the most awaited moment—Chummy Chum’s arrival. With cheerful dance moves and boundless enthusiasm, he brought the children to their feet. Laughter echoed as they danced alongside him, their excitement lighting up the entire gathering.   Soon after, the children surrounded Ms. Jeralen and sang a sweet birthday song just for her. The children there were not only enduring the pain of illness in their small bodies, but also the silent ache of having less than others—no bright toys of their own, no new clothes, no grand adventures, and only simple meals where others might enjoy plenty.   But that day, something magical stepped through the hospital doors.   Chummy Chum, the beloved mascot, joined the team in handing out warm meals, toys, and thoughtful gifts. But when a sudden calamity struck the families along Magdaong Road in Barangay Poblacion, Muntinlupa City, the original plans were gently set aside. The children of fire-stricken families needed more than a date on a calendar—they needed comfort, warmth, and hope.   So Chummy Chum arrived not only with food and clothing, but with something far more magical: joy.   The day began with kind and encouraging words from the team leader, planting seeds of hope in tender hearts. Soon, laughter bloomed. The children played lively games, their giggles rising like music in the air. Each child chose a toy to treasure, received a warm meal to fill their tummies, and carried home a bag of simple surprises.   And then came the moment they would never forget.   When Chummy Chum danced and played beside them, the children’s eyes sparkled. 28 November 2025 Daughters of Charity East Service Road, Paranaque City. Life moves forward, and keeping our hearts busy with kindness makes the journey brighter. Today, Chummy joined Ms. Andrea and her family in sharing joy with children from underserved communities—kids who rarely get to experience parties and celebrations. A longtime supporter of Chummy Chum, Ms. Andrea has spent almost 15 years celebrating her birthday by reaching out to children in need. Even from abroad, distance never stops her from giving. With her mom representing her, she once again asked Chummy Chum to visit the Daughters of Charity in Parañaque City and bring happiness to the kids. The day kicked off with a prayer, followed by lively games led by playful clowns. Thanks to the many prizes prepared by Chummy Chum, no child went home empty-handed. But the loudest cheers came when Chummy Chum arrived—dancing, hugging, and posing for photos with everyone. The children then joyfully sang “Happy Birthday” for Ms. Andrea, joined by her mother and of course, Chummy Chum himself. The Daughters of Charity expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the continued love shown to the children in their care. San Nicholas, Pasig City   Chummy Chum joined the 5th anniversary celebration of the San Nicholas Community Pantry at the covered court in Pasig City, making the occasion even more special for the children in attendance. The event was made possible through the generosity of Ms. Rachelle of WeCarePH, who shared food for everyone.   Upon arrival, the Chummy Chum team helped open the venue early to begin setting up their signature cart filled with treats and gifts. One by one, excited children started arriving.   The San Nicholas Community Pantry team led the program, filling it with fun games and laughter. But the biggest surprise came when Chummy Chum appeared—children rushed over with pure joy, hugging their beloved character and snapping photos.   As snacks, cotton candy, and gifts were handed out, the atmosphere turned festive and full of warmth. Organizers thanked Chummy Chum for the meaningful collaboration that brought happiness to so many young hearts.   Because sometimes, the most powerful way to celebrate milestones is by bringing joy to those who need it most.
