  • A Magical Return: Bringing Smiles Back to Novaliches District Hospital

16 January 2026 Novaliches District Hospital After a gap of three to four months, the Chummy Chum team returned to Novaliches District Hospital, answering the heartfelt request of the hospital administration to visit more regularly. During the previous visit, doctors and staff witnessed how children at the Pediatric Outpatient Department (OPD) bravely endured their medical treatments while still finding joy in the fun and laughter Chummy Chum brought. Hoping to recreate that moment, the hospital humbly asked the foundation to return—if possible, even on a monthly basis. The Chummy Chum team gladly granted the request, not for recognition, but purely for the children. Upon arrival, the hospital’s main lobby was filled with excitement and anticipation. The children eagerly awaited the magical moment as the TV monitor played the Chummy Chum jingle, instantly lifting spirits and setting the tone for a joyful day. As the team prepared the booth, doctors, nurses, and hospital staff enthusiastically lent a hand, sharing in the excitement. A mini-program was held at the Pediatric OPD and was hosted by the Chummy Chum Event Team Lead. Carefully planned parlor games were conducted—perfectly suited to the limited space and mindful of the children’s medical conditions. For a while, worries and discomfort seemed to fade as laughter filled the room, especially when Chummy Chum himself appeared to join the fun. Although health and safety protocols prevented Chummy Chum from dancing closely with the children, the magic was undeniably present—reflected in the wide smiles and sparkling eyes of every child in the room. The hospital administration expressed their sincere gratitude to Chummy Chum for once again bringing love, joy, and unforgettable moments to their young patients. Special thanks are extended to Zamony Venture Corporation for the donated diapers; Ms. Chescka, Sir PJ, and Ms. Dianne of SSS 5th Floor for the pre-loved toys, clothes, and shoes; and ELI for the brand-new undergarments. Your generosity helped make this magical day possible.

15 January 2026 National Children’s Hospital, Hema-Ward Quezon City   Social media has become a powerful bridge for compassion, allowing people from around the world to support meaningful causes with just a mobile phone. Through Facebook, international donors discovered Chummy Chum and were inspired by the organization’s consistent outreach and dedication to helping children in need throughout the year. Despite not having met Chummy Chum personally, the donors immediately placed their trust in the organization and generously provided financial support for the sick children. They had also shared blessings with these children last December 2025. During their visit to the Philippines, arrangements were made for the donors to spend time with children suffering from serious illnesses in the Hematology Ward of a government hospital. Upon the team’s arrival at the hospital, several children were already waiting at the Outpatient Department, their faces filled with anticipation. They understood that everything prepared at the booth—food, gifts, toys, and other treats—had been lovingly arranged especially for them. The team completed the setup just as the donors arrived. Chummy Chum personally accompanied the donors to each ward, ensuring that every child was reached. Ms. Rae and her companion were deeply moved by the children’s circumstances, and though emotional, they joyfully distributed food, gifts, and cash assistance, sharing smiles and words of encouragement along the way. The donors expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chummy Chum for making it possible to bring joy, comfort, and hope to underprivileged children. They also shared their desire to continue collaborating with the organization whenever they visit the Philippines. Indeed, sharing blessings with children who need them most is one of the most meaningful experiences one can carry for a lifetime.

8 January 2026 Potrero, Malabon City There's a Filipino saying that it's better to be robbed than to experience a fire, and while we shouldn't wish for such events. The children and families affected by the fire in Brgy. Potrero, Malabon, now temporarily reside at the Potrero Malabon covered court. The Chummy Chum team prepared champurrado early in the morning and traveled almost two hours through traffic to reach those affected. Upon arrival the covered court that serves as the evacuation center, the champurrado was still hot, and the team immediately began setting up and playing games while distributing food in paper bowls. Before introducing Chummy Chum, the team leader delivered inspiring words, urging everyone not to lose hope, to continue doing good, and to trust that help and renewal come in many forms—words that were met with enthusiastic applause. When Chummy appeared, the children and their parents cheered, appreciating Chummy Chum's unique way of bringing joy to those affected by the fire. They received many pre-loved clothes from voluntary donors, along with loot bags, champurrado, juice, toys, diapers, etc., bringing joy to everyone in the evacuation area. • Charity of Love: Care That Truly Matters

10 January 2026 Brgy Commonwealth, Quezon City Chummy Chum's love for less fortunate children is immeasurable. For nearly 20 years, the founder has selflessly dedicated resources to helping and bringing joy, driven by pure love for underprivileged Filipino children - those who are not well with serious illnesses, children in orphanages, children from indigent families, children with special needs from public schools, street children and those affected by fires and typhoons in slum areas. Today, the Chummy Chum team prepared delicious spaghetti early in the morning and traveled to Commonwealth, QC, to visit those affected by a recent fire. Despite the narrow entrance to the covered court where the evacuation area was located, the team proceeded undeterred. They immediately set up to bring joy and share an inspirational message to uplift everyone's spirits. The children and parents initially thought it was just a simple toy distribution. Even with that expectation, their eyes widened with excitement, knowing that their burned toys, colors, and coloring books would be replaced, along with clothes for children and adults. Their wide eyes lit up with cheers when Chummy Chum suddenly appeared amidst their tents. The anticipation of receiving gifts transformed into overwhelming joy as they danced with Chummy, shared hugs, and took pictures. Then, the distribution began. Everyone thanked Chummy for the simple yet meaningful help and love he shared—felt most deeply by the children, who were reassured that they are seen, loved, cared for, and never alone, even in life’s most difficult moments. The foundation has been always grateful to those who selflessly contribute without being asked: Sir PJ, Ms. Dianne, and Ms. Cha for the toys; Ms. Ally, Aika, and Ms. Chesca for the pre-loved clothes; Sir Albino for additional loot bags; and, of course, Zamony Venture Corporation for the diapers and ELI for the undergarments.

  • Joy Beyond the Fire and Rain

19 December 2025 Sta. Mesa, Manila The Chummy Chum team returned to a community forever changed by a cruel fire—one that swept through the area and left hundreds of families with nothing but the clothes they were wearing. In the aftermath of the flames, the youngest hearts were the most affected: children too small to understand such loss, yet deeply touched by its pain. As if to test everyone’s spirits, heavy rain poured unexpectedly that day. Still, the team pressed on, carefully setting up their booth in a secure, sheltered area. Every item was kept safe and dry—each one a gift of love, shared by kind-hearted individuals and organizations, along with Chummy Chum’s own offerings of joy and hope. The children already knew a special guest was coming. With excitement in their eyes, they waited eagerly until they spotted Chummy Chum from afar. They giggled as Chummy Chum stepped in towards them. The rain kept everyone gathered in a small covered space—tight and cozy—but nothing could dampen the laughter, smiles, and magical moments shared inside. Each child was thoughtfully listed, with priority given to those most in need. One by one, they received bags filled with gifts, delicious treats, and special souvenirs—simple things that carried a powerful message: you are remembered, you are cared for, and you are not alone. Though the rain continued to fall outside, inside that small space joy overflowed. Through shared blessings and generous hearts, smiles were restored and hope was gently rekindled. Another meaningful mission was completed by the Chummy Chum Foundation, proving once again that when kindness is shared, even the darkest days can shine with magic.
