A Day of Joy, Hope, and Smiles with Chummy Chum

29 January 2026

Payatas Litex, Quezon City

Chummy Chum recently spent a joyful day with children who were relocated from the Litex Payatas landfill and are now building new lives in Bistekville Phase 7, a government housing community in Quezon City.

While memories of their difficult past remain, the families are deeply grateful for the opportunity to start anew and for having a safe, decent place to finally call home.

Determined to make the day special, the Chummy Chum team rose early to cook a big pot of a special meal and prepared loot bags and gifts for the children. The visit was scheduled on a Saturday so all schoolchildren could join in the fun—and their excitement was felt the moment the program began.

The day opened with a short introduction to Chummy Chum and the foundation’s mission of spreading joy to underprivileged children. What followed was pure happiness: lively parlor games, shared laughter, and an unforgettable appearance by Chummy Chum, who danced, played, and exchanged warm hugs with the children. In those moments, the children felt truly seen, loved, and celebrated.

The program ended with every child receiving a hot meal, souvenirs, and simple gifts—leaving behind smiles and memories that will surely last.

Heartfelt thanks to SM City Sucat for the bunny bears, Zamony Venture Corporation for the diapers, Sir PJ, Ma’am Liza, and Ma’am Joan for the pre-loved toys, and ELI for the undergarments. This meaningful day was made possible by everyone who shared their generosity, time, and love.
