For 15 years, Mrs. Marilou Sison has been a cherished partner of Chummy Chum Foundation, faithfully sharing her time and blessings with children most in need.

The event became more than a community giveaway. It was a celebration filled with gratitude, kindness, and the unforgettable happiness Chummy Chum brought to children from the underserved community.

The children’s faces lit up when Chummy Chum finally appeared. They may not have known that the team had traveled through the rain just to reach them—but every smile made the journey worthwhile.

For 12 consecutive years, Kuya Rex has celebrated his September birthday by sharing his blessings with children from underserved communities.

Chummy Chum Foundation is deeply grateful for the opportunity to bring sunshine into the lives of these wonderful children, especially after the difficulties they experienced during the flood.

Families living beneath a bridge in Valenzuela faced two devastating hardships—flooding caused by a recent typhoon, followed by a fire that destroyed their makeshift homes.

Chummy Chum visited a flood-affected informal community where nearly 100 families live in tightly built makeshift homes. Many depend on scavenging for a living and face uncertainty and health risks, including leptospirosis, whenever floodwaters rise.

The hospital’s Social Service team assisted the group and introduced them to the bright, child-friendly ward, which mainly serves indigent young patients. While fresh popcorn was prepared, the team quietly visited each room to avoid disturbing children who were resting or receiving treatment.

Despite their challenges, the children eagerly joined the activities, dancing and sharing joyful moments with Chummy Chum. Although only a few photos were taken, the happiness of the day became a precious memory for everyone.

Chummy Chum brought much-needed help and moments of joy to children and families in San Andres, Manila, who had endured flooding and later lost their homes to a fire.

Caleb’s 7th birthday became extra meaningful when his family dedicated the celebration to bringing happiness to children in residential care.

Chummy Chum was glad to join the Check Group and partner Sta. Clara de Montefalco Parish in Barangay Caniogan, Pasig City, for a joyful outreach benefiting children from underserved communities around the church.

A storm was raging as the Chummy Chum team left Parañaque, making them wonder if they should continue. They worried about the children and whether they had shelter from the heavy rain. But as the team arrived in Tanyag, Taguig City, the rain suddenly stopped.

Indeed, one of the most meaningful ways to express gratitude for life’s blessings is by extending kindness and joy to the less fortunate.

Despite the heavy rain, the Chummy Chum team travelled early from Parañaque to guide and assist Sir Joshua and his family during their first charity visit. Together, they distributed meals and gifts to the children.

Despite the challenges brought by the rainy season, Chummy Chum continued its mission of bringing joy and hope to children in need.

More than the treats and presents, the celebration reflected the founder’s greatest wish: to give children in need a joyful memory that brings them hope—something they can hold on to as they grow. And when they become capable and successful someday, may they look back on the kindness they received and continue the chain by helping others in return.

The children’s happiness—and the heartfelt appreciation of their mothers, nurses, and doctors—showed how a birthday shared with those most in need can become a beautiful celebration of caring, generosity, and hope.

More than a day of entertainment, the event gave the children a hopeful reminder that they are valued, cared for, and deserving of happy experiences.
