For children quietly enduring illness while their families struggle to meet everyday needs, a little joy can mean so much. These are the children Chummy Chum Foundation seeks to reach—to brighten their day and remind them that they are loved and cared for.
During its visit to San Lorenzo Ruiz General Hospital, the team wasted no time setting up a booth filled with toys, special gifts, and yummy treats. Curious faces soon lit up with excitement as the children discovered that these surprises were indeed for them.
Then came Chummy Chum himself, joining the team in serving the children. Hospital protocols and limited space meant there would be no dancing, but his presence brought its own happiness. He stayed for gentle interactions and precious moments with the young patients.
Parents, nurses, doctors, and hospital staff warmly welcomed the foundation, witnessing how a brief visit could lift the children’s spirits and bring a cheerful atmosphere to the Pediatric Outpatient Department.
Though these visits are a regular part of the foundation’s work, each encounter holds its own meaning. Behind every gift is a simple message: every child deserves kindness, comfort, and a reason to smile.
