On a sunny Children’s Day celebration in one of the city’s poorest communities, the Chummy Chum Foundation brought big joy with small acts of kindness. Partnering with SK Gener and their “Nutritious Food” theme, the team set up a colorful booth in front of the barangay hall—lined with hot meals, tasty snacks, sweet treats, toys, books, and souvenirs.
Excitement filled the air as popcorn and cotton candy machines whirred to life, many kids tasting these sugary delights for the very first time. Laughter echoed through the games led by SK Gener—everyone won a prize, and everyone wore a smile.
Then came the star of the day: Chummy Chum himself! The moment he appeared, children ran to hug him, wide-eyed and thrilled. With his quirky dance moves and big heart, Chummy Chum lit up the day—turning it into a memory they’ll never forget.
For most of these kids, it was their first time meeting Chummy Chum in person. What they found wasn’t just a mascot, but a friend who made them feel seen, loved, and celebrated—even just for a day.
Because really, giving joy doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, all it takes is showing up, reaching out, and sharing what you can—even if it’s as small as a book, a toy, or a cotton candy smile.
Special thanks to Ms. Stacey for the pre-loved toys, and E-Mind Learning for the donated storybooks.
