No. 128: Anika Miel A. Tejol, 8, Rhabdomyosarcoma Stage 3, PCMC
Miel was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer affecting his bladder. On October 13, 2021, he underwent major surgery removing muscle tissue from his bladder. Thankfully, the operation was successful. But Miel needs post-clinical tests, maintenance medicines, and a series of chemotherapy.
The parents cannot afford to provide the medical management of Miel. The mother takes laundry jobs for other families and the father is a cellphone repairman. The combined income is not enough to cover the basic needs more so the medical needs of their sick child.
The mother hopes for any help that can be extended for his child.
