Joy That Lives On: Inspiring Children to Live with High Hopes

La Huerta Landfill Community
On this day, the Chummy Chum Foundation held the third and final event in a special outreach series at La Huerta landfill community in Parañaque City. Organized especially for the Foundation’s founder, the event was held in addition to Chummy Chum’s regular three to four weekly charity activities.
Despite the heavy rain, the team and local volunteers prepared a joyful celebration filled with games, prizes, a magic show, puppet performances, and unlimited servings of "taho", popcorn, and cotton candy. The children’s excitement reached its peak when Chummy Chum appeared—welcoming warm hugs, dancing with them, and filling the venue with laughter. Food, toys, loot bags, slippers, blankets, and other gifts were also distributed to 150 children.
More than the treats and presents, the celebration reflected the founder’s greatest wish: to give children in need a joyful memory that brings them hope—something they can hold on to as they grow. And when they become capable and successful someday, may they look back on the kindness they received and continue the chain by helping others in return.
