Love That Reached Every Child

National Children’s Hospital
Long before her birthday arrived, Ms. Jobelle had already prepared gifts for sick children confined at the National Children’s Hospital. Wanting to share the joy of another year of life, she chose to celebrate her blessings by bringing happiness to young patients bravely battling illness.
On that day, the Chummy Chum Foundation Philippines, Inc. team was scheduled to conduct a celebration at the HEMA Ward on the hospital’s 4th floor. To reach the ward, the team had to pass through the HEMA-OPD area, where children waiting for consultations watched Chummy Chum and the volunteers walk by. Thinking the celebration was not meant for them, some of the children quietly looked on with sadness.
What they did not know was that Ms. Jobelle and Chummy Chum had already prepared a special surprise for them as well.
Right after the celebration upstairs, the team went down and set up their booth at the OPD. As popcorn began cooking, children excitedly gathered around, repeatedly coming back to watch and wait. When the team announced that Ms. Jobelle had prepared treats especially for them, the room instantly filled with applause and excitement, as many of the children never expected to receive anything that day.
Though Ms. Jobelle was not physically present, her love and kindness were deeply felt by the children. Through the help of Chummy Chum, her birthday wish of bringing joy and hope to sick children became possible, with every gift personally handed to the young patients at the OPD.
Happy Birthday, Ms. Jobelle! Thank you for allowing Chummy Chum to help make your blessings reach every child who needed comfort and happiness.
Parents, nurses, doctors, and OPD staff expressed heartfelt gratitude for the day’s meaningful celebration — a day made extra special through the kindness of generous donors and the joyful presence of Chummy Chum.
