  • Saffron Catering shared their blessing with the children in Bahay Aruga.

15 Sept 2023 Bahay Pag-Asa, Binan, Laguna Every year this month, Saffron Catering reserved one of their busy days to share their blessings with the unfortunate children. This year, Chummy Chum thought of surprising the children from Bahay Pag-Asa in Binan, Laguna, through the assistance of the DSWD in the said municipality. Bahay Pag-Asa is situated in a government facility where street children who beg for money and those who use solvent to mask their hunger, are gathered saving them from further social and moral damages. After everything was set with the DSWD Binan, the DSWD officers accompanied the Chummy Chum team to the venue where the children were gathered. This is not the first time Chummy Chum has done an event with DSWD in Binan Laguna, and the children were happy to meet Chummy Chum once again. There are some new children added to the group, including infants and toddlers who were rescued from abusive parents and guardians. It was heartwarming to see the children all smiles and joyous amidst the difficult social situation they did not choose to be in. Thank you Saffron Catering for the delectable food and gifts. Special thanks to Clearlogic Inc., for letting the team use their company van, and to the SM Store for the toys. (Children's faces are not shown following the DSWD and Bahay PagAsa policy on children's safety and protection.)

The Chummy Chum (foundation) visited the PGH Cancer Institute of Manila to give and distribute the Love gift given by our Kind and Lovely Ma'am Adelaida. The kids were dumbfounded, filled with joy, and had genuine smiles on their faces as they received the Love gifts that we brought. **** Chummy Chum's message to other partner donors like Ma'am Adelaida: The Chummy Chum offers a helping hand and delivers the help, the gifts, and other things that you want to give to them personally, but can't. We especially understand your situation because we know you lack time and have other priorities in life. We are the ones who will buy, choose, and deliver the goods for the child with disabilities because we are registered and we have donor receipts that you can use to lessen your payment taxes. We also know what to include and what not to include kinds of food in the loot bags that should not be eaten by the kids with cancer, to prevent any harm. ***
