Chummy Chum, in partnership with the Little Ark Foundation, brought joy to children battling cancer at the National Children’s Hospital in celebration of Ms. Cha’s birthday—a truly noble way to give back.
The event was held at the hospital’s top floor, transformed into a magical space with vibrant balloon décor. The Chummy Chum team arrived early to set up a booth filled with yummy treats, toys, and special gifts. Popcorn and cotton candy machines added extra excitement, with doctors allowing the children a “cheat day” to enjoy their first taste of cotton candy—a simple but unforgettable delight.
A trio of clowns hosted the program, entertaining the children with magic, puppetry, and gentle parlor games tailored to their health needs. Laughter echoed through the room as every child received a prize, creating moments of pure joy—priceless and deeply meaningful.
The highlight was the appearance of Chummy Chum the mascot, a familiar and beloved figure to many of the children. Once limited to brief handshakes from their hospital beds, this time they were able to hug him—bringing comfort that words could not express. True to the foundation’s motto, it was a genuine “Charity of Love.”
Ms. Cha prepared special gifts of Igco and Pediasure milk for 80 pediatric cancer patients from the poorest families, along with food packs and gifts for 200 children in the hospital.
It was one of Ms. Cha’s most fulfilling birthdays—celebrated not with grandeur, but with compassion, generosity, and love for those who need it most.
Happy Birthday, Ms. Cha!
