The Chummy Chum Foundation began Sunday with a heartwarming visit to the HEMA Ward of the National Children’s Hospital in Quezon City. The outreach was made even more meaningful by a voluntary donor who chose to celebrate his birthday by sharing his blessings with children bravely battling cancer.
With gifts, food, special balloons, freshly popped popcorn, and a cheerful visit from Chummy Chum, the ward was filled with smiles and excitement. The team went from bed to bed, bringing simple moments of joy to the young patients, while carefully observing the hospital’s dietary restrictions and safety guidelines.
The children’s happiness—and the heartfelt appreciation of their mothers, nurses, and doctors—showed how a birthday shared with those most in need can become a beautiful celebration of caring, generosity, and hope.
