Chummy Chum Foundation brought comfort and smiles to children from underserved communities recently devastated by fire. Understanding the emotional burden disasters place on young hearts, the team makes every effort to reach children soon after fires and floods.
At the evacuation center, families sheltered in rows of tents crowded into a small space. Excited children hurried outside upon learning that Chummy Chum had arrived. While the team set up, the Event Team Head led games and shared the foundation’s beginnings. As her story ended, Chummy Chum appeared—greeted by delighted cheers.
The children played, danced, and enjoyed special gifts, yummy treats, and souvenirs. Yet their happiest memories were the moments spent playing with Chummy Chum. For a little while, laughter eased the sorrow of the tragedy, giving children and their families a welcome moment of relief.
Heartfelt thanks go to SM City Sucat, Zamony Ventures, GTVL, and all donors of pre-loved toys and clothes for making this visit possible.
