In a quiet corner of Marikina Heights, something magical happened. The playful Chummy Chum, along with the kind-hearted team from Chummy Chum Foundation Philippines, Inc., joined forces with WeCarePh to bring smiles to children who had recently faced something truly difficult—the loss of their homes to a devastating fire.

Before setting up their cheerful booth, the Chummy Chum team respectfully waited for an earlier visit from local officials to end. The foundation keeps its focus on pure, non-political acts of love and care.

Then, it was time for the magic to begin! 💫

The team quickly transformed the area with a colorful booth filled with yummy treats, special gift packs, and fresh food bundles. The delightful scent of popcorn and the soft whirl of a cotton candy machine filled the air. Balloons danced in the breeze, bringing color and joy to every corner. The goal was simple yet powerful: to help the children forget their worries, even for a little while, and feel safe, happy, and loved.

The program began with a heartfelt prayer, followed by a short introduction about Chummy Chum’s mission to bring joy, hope, and love to children in need. Then came the parlor games—full of laughter, excitement, and little prizes for both winners and players alike.

And just when the kids thought the day couldn’t get any better… Chummy Chum arrived! 🦕✨

The children’s eyes lit up with joy as the cuddly dino mascot danced his way into their hearts. It was their first time meeting him, but it felt like they’d been friends forever. They ran to hug him, play with him, and bask in the warmth of his friendly presence.

For a moment, the pain of the past faded. In that space filled with laughter, popcorn, hugs, and music, the children felt safe, seen, and truly loved, - that is a Charity of Love, that is what Chummy Chum is all about.
