A Morning of Magic, Hope, and Smiles in Navotas

24 January 2026

Children from Road 10, Navotas

As early as five o’clock in the morning, the ChummyChum team was already awake, lovingly preparing hot soup for families affected by the recent fire in Navotas. What began as a simple act of service soon turned into a beautiful and magical morning filled with laughter, comfort, and joy.

Upon arriving at the venue, the team noticed that there were very few children present. Without hesitation, they decided to bring the joy directly to the nearby homes—ensuring that no child would be left unseen or forgotten.

In a shaded area right in front of the burned houses, the ChummyChum team created a little haven of happiness. Pre-loved toys were carefully arranged alongside brand-new bunny bears and Chummy pillows. There were diapers for babies, balloons, balls, coloring books and crayons, biscuits, cupcakes, popcorn, juice, and warm soup. Pre-loved clothing for children and new undergarments for adults were also made available—each item shared with care and compassion.

The team shared uplifting words and gentle guidance, offering spiritual encouragement and engaging the children in fun and meaningful conversations. What followed was pure magic.

The children had thought they would simply receive gifts and move on—but their faces lit up with surprise and delight when the beloved Chummy mascot appeared right before them. Cheers filled the air as little ones rushed forward, hugging the mascot tightly.

Most of the children excitedly posed for photos, treasuring the moment as if they had cellphones of their own—when in truth, they were simply happy to be fully present, sharing a joyful moment with Chummy Chum.

In that moment, the children felt truly seen, deeply loved, and genuinely cared for. Their smiles said everything.

The ChummyChum team was met with endless gratitude from the community—for the time shared, the warmth given, and the blessings poured out so freely.

Heartfelt thanks go to SM City Sucat, Zamony Venture Corp, Ms. Nica, Ms. Kay, and ELI for making this joyful and love-filled mission possible.
