What began as an ordinary morning at the OPD-Pediatrics of a public hospital in Baseco, Manila, soon turned into a heartwarming celebration for children from one of the city's most underserved communities.

As families waited for their medical consultations, many children curiously watched a festive setup taking shape in the hospital lobby. A long red table was filled with yummy treats, toys, special gifts, and souvenirs. While the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff were already aware of the surprise, they too eagerly awaited the children's reactions.

Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for.

As Chummy Chum, the beloved mascot of the Chummy Chum Foundation Philippines, entered the lobby, the children erupted with excitement and joy. Laughter filled the room as the young patients waved, smiled, and rushed closer to greet their special guest. For a brief moment, it seemed as though every worry, discomfort, and medical concern had disappeared.
