On a bright Tuesday morning, the team set out early for a public health center in Sta. Cruz, Manila—arriving just before the day’s free vaccinations began.

The center had opened its doors to children from underserved families, where daily survival often takes priority over preventive care. In honor of World Immunization Week, the simple act of vaccination became something more: a life-saving gift, a quiet promise of a healthier future.

Joining the effort, the Chummy Chum team brought not just support, but joy. There were treats, small gifts, and the most delightful surprise of all—Chummy Chum himself. The cheerful mascot stood in line with the children, playfully pretending to get vaccinated too.

What could have been a day filled with fear turned into laughter. Children who might have been anxious were soon distracted—playing, smiling, and eagerly waiting their turn, not with dread, but with excitement.
