A Surprise Treat for the Children of Brgy. Addition Hills

Early Friday morning, the Chummy Chum team was guided by barangay officers to one of the poorest parts of Brgy. Addition Hills. Children were already up and about, playing outside their makeshift homes — just another normal day for them… until the Chummy Chum mobile van rolled in!

Curious faces turned to wide-eyed excitement as the team stepped out carrying boxes of goodies and special gifts. When the long table was set up with yummy treats, toys, and surprises, the kids could barely contain their joy — they knew something special was about to happen!

Volunteers quickly joined in to help keep things smooth and safe. The program kicked off with a cheerful welcome and a quick intro about Chummy Chum — who he is, and the heart behind the foundation’s mission, vision, and goal. Then came the games! Laughter and cheers filled the air as the kids competed in fun parlor games, with prizes for winners and tokens for everyone who joined.

And just when they thought it couldn’t get any better… out came Chummy Chum! Despite the sweltering heat, the lovable mascot greeted the kids with his signature moves — limited by the hot weather but full of heart. He stuck around to mingle, share smiles, and help hand out food packs, treats, toys, and gifts.

For children used to days that all feel the same, this was no ordinary morning — it was a magical moment they’ll remember for a long time.
