OPD Pedia, East Avenue Medical Center
The Chummy Chum Foundation is committed to reaching out to sick children from low-income families across Metro Manila. One of the best places to meet them is in public hospitals like the East Avenue Medical Center, which serves many indigent families.
On this day, the Chummy Chum team surprised the OPD Pediatric Ward. Doctors, nurses, and hospital staff warmly welcomed the team and expressed their gratitude for the visit.
Excitement filled the room as the team set up a booth filled with yummy treats, toys, gifts, and special souvenirs. The cotton candy and popcorn machines wowed the kids, while colorful balloons brightened the hospital atmosphere.
Although health and safety protocols prevented a full party, that didn’t stop Chummy Chum from making the day special. He joined the children in line, bringing joy with his cheerful presence. For many, it was their first time meeting the beloved baby dinosaur in person—an experience far more magical than just hearing about him.
Chummy Chum spent time chatting with the kids and helping distribute the gift sets prepared for each child. It was a simple but meaningful visit that reminded the children they are seen, loved, and cared for.
This is what the “Charity of Love” is all about—filling hearts with joy, without expecting anything in return.
Special thanks to The SM Store Sucat for the adorable Bears of Joy, and Zamony Ventures Corporation for the high-quality baby diapers.
