For the second event of the day, the team took the skyway to avoid heavy traffic, eager to reach the hospital and bring joy to young patients. They came bearing gifts shared by a new partner donor, Ms. Pat. Adding to the holiday cheer were festive Gift Bags from Cacao and Company.
The team arrived early at the National Children’s Hospital Hema Ward and immediately set up a small booth filled with food and special gifts from the blessings shared by by Ms. Pat and complemented by souvenirs and freshly cooked popcorn from Chummy Chum, all intended to brighten the children’s day.
When Ms. Pat arrived, she joined Chummy Chum, the foundation’s beloved mascot, in visiting the children in both the Hema Ward and the Outpatient Department (OPD).
While movement was limited due to the hospital’s health and safety protocols, the children and their guardians were visibly delighted. Each child received a holiday gift bag and a special present, but more than that, they felt deeply touched by the effort made to reach them. Knowing that Chummy Chum and Ms. Pat had traveled from different locations and braved heavy traffic just to visit gave them comfort and hope, reminding them that they were not alone in their journey.
The visit became a heartfelt exchange of smiles and gratitude—a meaningful way to celebrate love, compassion, and the sharing of blessings received throughout the year.
