Brgy. Sto.Nino, Paranaque City

A collaboration of the Chummy Chum Foundation, Makati Lion’s Club, and the Lineage Corporation owned by Ms. Gina Galleta served more than 300 indigent children from Brgy. Sto. Nino, Paranaque on a Thanksgiving Year-End Charity Event.

The Chummy Chum team hurriedly traveled from their first event in the morning from Sta. Ana, Manila, but was caught by a traffic jam during the holiday season. The Lineage and the Makati Lion’s team saved the day as they were at the venue earlier and started the setup while the 400 square meters covered court started to fill with children.

The event started by the Lineage team with parlor games and was soon backed up by the clown duo, which made the children more alive. Hot chicken "sopas" were served as well with the hot sweet "taho" along with varieties of bread and pastries. It was not easy to control a large crowd of children, but thanks to the clown duo and the full-force support of the members of the Lineage Corporation who patiently guided the children.

Finally, the Chummy Chum team arrived and quickly set up the popcorn and cotton candy carts and tables with special prizes. The children lined up for the cotton candy and popcorn and winners of the dance and song contests formed a queue to claim their prizes from the Chummy Chum booth.

The children were very happy and excited as they looked around seeing all the toys, gifts, and food prepared by the Lineage and Makati Lion’s team just for them.

The most fun part was when Chummy Chum joined the children in a dance performance and posed for a few pictures with them.

The event ended with gift-giving prepared by the Lineage Corporation. Just before the day ended, Ms. Gina Galleta invited all the collaborators to a fine dinner at a restaurant near the venue. Thanks to PubG for a delicious and satisfying dinner.

Everyone was tired but all went home with happy hearts fulfilling a noble mission to serve the less fortunate.

Thanks to all who make this event possible.
