Bringing Joy to the Children at the OPD

For children from underserved families, illness can mean missing out on the simple joys of childhood. Hospital visits, treatments, and long waits can be difficult for young patients and their families. Chummy Chum Foundation visits pediatric outpatient departments and wards to offer comfort, companionship,
and moments of happiness during these challenging days.
During this visit, Chummy Chum greeted children waiting at the Pediatric OPD. Their quiet wait brightened with surprise and smiles as the beloved mascot came closer. Although a dance performance was not possible, his gentle presence and playful interactions gave the children a cheerful moment to enjoy.
The team also shared special gifts and delicious treats, making the visit even more memorable. These simple gestures reminded the children and their families that they were cared for and remembered.
Chummy Chum’s visits offer emotional encouragement alongside the medical care children receive. A moment of laughter can give them a welcome break from worry, a chance to simply be children, and something happy to carry through the days ahead.
Special thanks to SM City Sucat for the Besties of Joy bunnies, Zamony Venture Corporation for the baby diapers, and all donors of the Give Love from PreLoved program for helping bring joy to children most in need.
