Chummy Chum Brings Joy to Fire-Affected Children

21 June 2025

Champagne Street, Marikina Height

The Chummy Chum team received a heartfelt request from Rachelle’s Angel Volunteers to visit children from underserved families who were affected by a massive fire a month ago. After confirming the request’s legitimacy, the team quickly organized an outreach event, deeply sensing how much the children needed joy and comfort.

Partnering with two volunteer donor groups, the team arrived at the venue where a free grooming service was already underway for both kids and adults. Clowns offering face painting and cheerful entertainment added to the festive mood.

Chummy Chum set up a booth filled with food packs, treats, toys, and special souvenirs prepared by the team, plus lots of gifts provided by partner-donors. The sight of colorful balloons, popcorn and cotton candy machines brought wide smiles and excitement to the children.

The program began with a brief introduction to Chummy Chum’s mission: spreading joy to underprivileged children without expecting anything in return—just love and care. A clown host entertained the kids with magic tricks and games, keeping spirits high.

The highlight of the day was the appearance of Chummy Chum himself—the lovable baby dinosaur. It was the children’s first time meeting him, but they immediately connected, dancing and hugging him tightly, as if they didn’t want the moment to end.

Each child received a food pack, toys, and gifts. The event truly embodied the “Charity of Love”—bringing pure joy and emotional warmth to children in need.

Special thanks to all the volunteers and partner-donors who made the event possible, especially Ms. Nica for her donation of pre-loved clothes and shoes.
