Brgy. 81 Natividad Street, Caloocan City.
Chummy Chum paid a heartwarming visit to children affected by a massive house fire last week. These young survivors are currently staying at a temporary evacuation shelter in Brgy. 81 Compound, Caloocan City.
More than just bringing food and gifts, Chummy Chum brought joy and emotional relief to the children—helping them cope with the trauma of their recent experience. Through laughter, play, and caring presence, the visit reminded them that they are not alone. They are seen, loved, and cared for. The team also shared words of encouragement to nourish the children’s faith and uplift their spirits.
The community warmly welcomed the Chummy Chum team upon arrival. Energized by the reception, the team excitedly set up tables filled with tasty treats, toys, and thoughtful gifts. A popcorn machine and vibrant balloons added a magical touch to the area. Despite the limited space, Chummy Chum the mascot managed to put on a cheerful dance performance, bringing smiles and laughter all around. The children’s joy was evident—they expressed heartfelt thanks for the attention and care they received.
Special thanks to the dedicated volunteers from Brgy. 81 for ensuring the children’s safety throughout the event, and to SM City Sucat for donating the lovely Bears of Joy that made the day extra special.
