Chummy Chum gave gifts and entertained the sick children from Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Hospital. Chummy Chum has conducted charity events in the hospital, and each visit is always a new encounter for both Chummy Chum and the children, as most pediatric patients have been different every day. As usual, the children were surprised and happy to have Chummy Chum around, receiving snacks, freebies and special gifts, as well as their up-close encounter with the Chummy Chum mascot. A child from the event had deeply touched our hearts when we felt how happy she was while receiving a coloring book set (that her family could ever afford one for her).
Just want to share the humps and bumps coming to the hospital when an MMDA officer (he must be new on the assigned area) stopped the truck and suspected to be an illegal trader on the road. When the hospital’s board learned the unfortunate apprehension, they were very upset and came to the incident site and talked seriously with the officer explaining that everything was a legal and official charity activity. It was a good feeling how the board fought for the team, while the team was calm, the board was really upset. The team is used to such encounters, but at the end of the day, nothing could stop them from giving joy to the less fortunate children.
