Brgy. Balon Bato, Quezon City
Chummy Chum is always in search of new friends—especially children from the poorest communities. Although the foundation has been holding charity events 3–4 times a week for 18 years, many areas are still waiting for a visit.
This time, the Chummy Chum team joined WeCarePH in celebrating its 4th anniversary and the birthday of its founder, Ms. Rachelle. The Check Group also joined as a voluntary partner-donor, and together they brought joy to children in one of the most underserved areas of Quezon City.
As always, the Chummy Chum team arrived early and well-prepared—with yummy treats, toys, special gifts, and souvenirs for every child. Cotton candy and popcorn machines added extra fun, while colorful balloons transformed the venue into a festive, magical space. WeCarePH and the Check Group also came with their own gifts and surprises.
The program began with a prayer led by the Check Group, followed by a lively show hosted by a funny clown duo. There were magic tricks, parlor games, and even face painting—making each child feel extra special and proud.
The highlight was Chummy Chum’s appearance and dance performance. It was the children’s first time meeting the lovable baby dinosaur in person, and they instantly connected—dancing, laughing, and hugging him, not wanting the moment to end. For a while, they forgot their hardships and simply felt seen, loved, and cared for.
This is what the “Charity of Love” is all about—filling the emptiness in a child’s heart with pure, priceless joy, expecting nothing in return.
Each child went home with food packs, toys, gifts, and souvenirs.
Happiest Birthday Ms. Rachelle. Special thanks to CheckGroup for added food and gifts, and Ms. Ghen for donating well-kept pre-loved toys—they brought real happiness to the children.
