Chummy Chum visited the House of Sarang – a temporary shelter for boys ages 1 – 15, who are neglected and abused children. The house provides a comfortable and safe home that helps overcome the emotional upheaval of each child.
The Chummy Chum team decided to pay a visit to the House of Sarang located in Taguig City. As usual, the team drove off early to meet the old and possibly some new acquaintances. They came on the Chummy Chum truck filled with surprises for the children.
It has been two years since the House of Sarang closed its door for Charity Events following the health and safety protocol against the covid19 pandemic, implemented by the government.
The children were very excited when they saw the truck parked in front of the house. They even got more excited seeing one by one, the team alighted from the truck carrying boxes. The children were very curious imagining what could have been inside those boxes.
The teams started to set up the table with food packs, toys, and gifts. The popcorn machine started to cook some popcorns – every pops tickled the delight of each child. Then the cotton candy machine started to make candy floss on a stick. All children were very excited to get their share and taste the yummy treats of Chummy Chum. The fun was in the air. Then Chummy Chum came out gliding in the tune of the Chummy Chum Jingle medley. The children were so happy to see Chummy Chum in person once again. It seems that they’ve missed him so much as you see them embrace, and exchanged high-fives and fist bumps with Chummy Chum.
At the end of the party, the children were called to receive their food pack, yummy treats, and gifts from Chummy Chum. The moment was brief but marked an extraordinary enjoyment in the history of the House of Sarang.
Thank you to our voluntary partner donor Ms. Anonymous R who has shared such generous donations that contributed to making the charity event a successful one.
