TONDO, MANILA – Few text requests for hospital visits are pending because of problems with the Chummy Chum Van. This visitation, though, was made after purchasing new popcorn stocks. The team arrived at the hospital early. When we arrived, we saw sick children gazing upon our colorful van. These children were set to have their check ups in the Out-patient Department of Gat Andres Memorial Hospital. While setting up our equipment, we received a lot of questions from the children and some of the parents; asking us how much would a bucket of popcorn costs. Their faces showed joy when we said that we give them to children for free after their checkup. In these cases, when children outside of the hospital know about the giveaway, they call more children to come inside. This pushes them to have their check ups. We give them groceries, balloons, toys, coloring materials, juices, cupcakes, and popcorn.
