Turning Seven with a Heart for Others

A month before Nathan’s 7th birthday, Mommy Rica reached out to the Chummy Chum Foundation with a heartfelt request—to celebrate her son’s special day by sharing its blessings with children in need.

The foundation gladly welcomed the opportunity. At the heart of its mission is the belief that every child, especially those facing poverty, illness, or difficult circumstances, deserves to feel seen, loved, and cared for.

On the day of the celebration, Nathan’s family, friends, and the Chummy Chum team came together to create a memorable experience for the children. The venue was transformed with colorful balloon decorations and a festive backdrop, while tables were filled with delicious food, treats, toys, chocolates, groceries, loot bags, and souvenirs prepared by Nathan’s family and volunteers.

The children enjoyed the series of games, magic, and puppet performances led by a lively clown duo. Laughter filled the venue as the festivities unfolded.

The highlight of the celebration came when Chummy Chum made a surprise appearance, dancing and spending time with the children, bringing even more excitement and joy to the occasion.

The event was a wonderful success, giving the children a chance to simply enjoy being children—laughing, playing, and creating happy memories free from the challenges they face in everyday life.

For Nathan’s parents, the celebration was also an opportunity to nurture compassion and generosity in their son by teaching him the value of sharing his blessings with others.
