November 13, 2022 (PM): SPED Concepcion Uno Elementary School, Marikina City.
The Chummy Chum team went straight from their first event (in the morning) to the next charity event (in the afternoon). They were tired but would never miss the children with special needs who were already waiting for them at the school. Chummy Chum joined forces with the SPEDtacular Group to bring joy to our angels who seem big children but are young in mind and heart.
As Chummy Chum showed up at the door of the school’s function hall, the children got so excited. Gifts, toys, and food were given to all the children such as Chummy popcorn and cotton candy, ice cream, taho, and other yummy treats prepared by other groups. The highlight of the afternoon was the dance number of Chummy Chum (the mascot) where the children delightfully joined for an impromptu dance number. It was the first time the children met Chummy Chum, but seems they were so close to him already. Some of the kids couldn’t help but gave Chummy a tight hug. It was a really touching moment to see.
There were about 150 children with special needs joined the event.
